I turned 18 a few days ago, I feel like my life is over now I feel like I don’t have anything left, all my friends are gone as I’m out of school now I don’t know, I have thanatophobia, I feel like I will die pretty soon and I am very scared of it.

@sohamsaha you should find a psychologist it's the best thing to do to treat your issues, I know it's not easy to find one and even less to find a good one and it's often very expensive but if it's possible it's really good. what you're going through now is very difficult and I know you feel like it's going to last forever but it's not. the brain always ends up coming out of this kind of state. I advise you to look for centers of interest that do you good no matter what it is, and even if it is a very small interest you have to dig it. this kind of positive distraction is what helps to calm anxieties and create hope and new desires that push you forward. you will find new friends, and your fears will calm down I promise you. if your anxiety is so powerful that you can't do anything, right now, it is advisable to play games without laguage in it like tetris because it mobilizes areas of the brain that will not be able to think of other negative things during this time.

Thanks so much for your advice, unfortunately I can’t go to therapy right now, I’ll have to tell my parents about this and the situation in my family is not that good, they’ll start worrying about me, making more burden in their lives. Also if you have any free resources that you’d be able to share pls do, it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry to hear you're feeling like this. At such a turning point in your life, feelings like that often come at you unexpectedly. When there are a lot of changes going on, it's really really easy to feel lost...I know it can be a heavy feeling to bear. Of course, if you're able to get help, seek it right away. If not, then it's important to be able to assess your needs. Are you okay? What do you need to be okay? These questions are hard to ask yourself but vital to ensure you head in the right direction. If you feel directionless, it often helps to find a passion or something that distracts you positively, something maybe you feel excited to wake up for everyday...starting with baby steps is the way to go. Be gentle with yourself...it isn't easy. I promise this is a temporary moment in your life...you will find direction, you will find what makes you happy in life. You will find new friends and more people to love and be loved by. Take care of yourself, my friend, baby steps. We all love you! You are in my thoughts.
