yesterday i got my high school acceptance. i live in san francisco and most people describe the high school applications and acceptance to have the same stress as college applications everywhere else. i was only accepted into 1 of the 4 high schools i applied to and the other 3 i was waitlisted. i’m stressed and don’t know what is next please help.

First of all, congratulations on getting accepted! I know it might not feel like a huge win right now because of the waitlists, but getting into at least one of your choices is still a big deal. It’s completely understandable to feel stressed and unsure of what comes next. You do have options on how to approach this and should be discussed with your parents on the best path going forward. Will you accept the school you got into or stay on the waitlists to see if there any spots that may be free when students decide to decline?

@HaleyXDonuts I know it can feel stressful and disappointing when applying to competitive programs and not feeling sure of your path forward. But you did amazing putting yourself out there and applying. What is feeling stressful about your acceptance status? Also, congratulations!
