I would like to start by saying good luck!

A twenty-page paper is a significant task and you definitely have your work cut out for you. But fear not. You are absolutely capable of not just completing but also acing it. 

Now admittedly, I don't have too much experience writing papers of that length but here are some general techniques I use when writing papers. 

First, I brainstorm as many pointers or headings as I can. Then I pick out the ones I can write the most content on, usually only 5 to 10 of them, but you might have to adjust that according to the length of your paper. After that, I get a rough draft going for each pointer. Once I'm satisfied with a couple of them, then I put them together and fill in the gaps. 

Now this is by no means the best way to write a paper but it's what I do and I hope it might help you too.
