Anybody felt this way?
Hello everyone I've been clean from. Alchole for 4 days I'm having really bad anxiety lately.. I been so used to being drunk doing everything from being at work to driving n etc so I was physically dependent on it. I picked up alchole when my son passed 2 years ago and it progressed from their shortly after the mother and I of almost 10 years split up.. that's when my alcoholism picked up from when I woke up til I went to sleep.. now my anxiety is thru the roof and I'm scared to even go places bc I waa used to being under the influence of alchole.. now when I go places it feels so weird.. I hate to drive bc I'm scared of having anxiety/panic attack.. since being sober mentally I feel like Im losing my mind. I been anxious and have this feeling it's never going to end.. mentally I feel like I'm losing it..

Hey there. I am sorry to hear about your trouble with alcohol. I can understand how you would be feeling anxious. It sounds like alcohol has been your coping method for a while now. I am glad that you have been clean for four days. It is definitely possible that this anxiety is part of the withdrawal syndromes. They say withdrawing from alcohol is one of the most dangerous ones to withdraw from. What kind of support do you have right now as you undergo getting clean?
I have no support group I was in the hospital for 4 days because I had a panic attack from one morning bc I didn't have a drink. I quit cold turkey on my own. They released me with medication. To take along with meeting with my PCP.. I just hope this anxious feeling goes away soon
Since I been sober I feel anxious and on the go but my safe place is home bc everywhere I went I was under the influence.. so going places sober feels weird n brings anxiety but I force myself

I can understand how going places would cause you to feel anxious when you are not used to being sober. It sounds like it is a process that is going to take time. I am glad you were given medications, those are definitely important. Make sure to take them so you can stay safe, okay?
I have been I just can't wait for this anxious feeling goes away and I feel "normal" again
I can understand that. maybe it can help to picture what things will look like once that feeling goes away? @Hunter0909
Spoke with my doctor today he says he thinks I have a underlying anxiety issue so I'm on medication.

Glad to hear that you spoke with your doctor and he gave you something that will hopefully help you out.
