Changing the pattern
I am an alcoholic, I am in the midst of a divorce and moving to find a fresh start. For the last year ish, I’ve been drinking pretty much everyday. 3-6 beers a day “ish”. It has been a very emotional year going through the divorce process. As I try to make positive changes for myself and move on, I can’t seem to take a break from drinking. Even when I’m telling myself to not go buy beer in my way home. I can’t seem to stop myself from driving to the store. I need help trying to change the pattern
Ok I’m with you. In the same boat. Not divorced yet but inching closer as booze becomes my closest partner. I fantasize about an alcoholic, vegan partnrr who is as scared of facing tomorrow as me. Good luck, my friend!
Hi, there:) ya know, I have struggled with this so much. I do understand cptsd is a lot of the reasons for the alcohol abuse. Feels like I'm pretty alone in this world. I just recently divorced, after a long battle. I believed that once the divorce was over, I'd be okay. Unfortunately, this is not the case :(
I think lack of support, and friendship has drug me down this path. I pray, we all find what we need, in order to heal, and let go of the vices :( sending hugs.
