his addiction is hurting me being around him is hurting me , I have tried to help him but he always relapses and I don't know what to do, he gets really aggressive, he just hit me and I feel desperate and alone , I love him, I think he is better than this but I just can't anymore, but I'm the only person he has , without me he is alone , but I feel alone with this , I feel really small and little for this

@bubblewater000

first things first does he wish to leave , only then its possible to leave it for long time . and whats the reason he drinks , its possible that he may not tell you the reason at first but if you push him long enough he might say it.

sometimes he does want to recover and he tries but his sobriety only last one or two weeks, he drinks because he feels like he can't control his emotions

@bubblewater000

well drinking seems an easy option to get rid of emotions but what kind of emotions does he wants to get rid of?

first YOU are not alone in this struggle .......

many of us are dealing with partners that have some sort of addiction and emotional issues.

I would agree on trying to find the source .. takes a long time removing the layers one at a time .....mine has done well sometimes for a long time THEN relapse.......

i even told him if he was going to drink do at home in front of me if he feels it is NO big deal .......he knows it is not OK and so he does not have the balls to do it front of me.

remind him of all the money we would have if he had not had a couple tickets for driving while drunk.....

when he used to get mad and LIE about it ......... i told him that it is only growing in his issues as LIEs are fertilizer to problems......... IF it is possible to show them how drinking only adds to issues never gets rid of the them some can stick to sobriety ........

IF not i explained to mine he is just committing slow suicide so no one else to blame.
