I can’t just have one drink I always drink to a point of blacking out.It has got to a point my relationship is hanging by a thread.

I have a lot of back trauma which always comes up as soon as I have a single drink I then just can’t stop.

I don’t know how to fix me I’m no longer happy and I’m so embarrassed of myself I don’t know how else’s to deal with my emotions without drinking

My and my boyfriend pretty much broke up this week because of my drinking..we’re still together now on the understanding I get help,I don’t see a problem intill yesterday when I started swigging out of a bottle..I don’t have any friends or family to talk to which I think could be really helpful so if it would like to contact me I would also be appreciative of that

@helpfulBirch7552 I am sorry, it must be tough when you dont  want to do something but cant stop and have no clue what more you can do. But maybe accepting that right now it is okay for things to be and maybe when you are in a better frame of mind things will happen?  I used to beat myself up so much that it almost became a battle. Took me a long while to practice not doing that.

I wish I could understand your side of things as I try to understand my boyfriends side. He too has the same issue you have and it is affecting his relationships and health deeply and I have no idea how to help him. His drinking and behavior has affected me so much I'm now battling my own depression. I wish he loved me as much as he loves to drink. I wish you, him and anyone else with this issue could try to be on our side of things to see how much this hurts your loved ones. As I wish to understand the control drinking has on you guys so I could understand how to help. I'm hanging in there out of love, but there is a breaking point where the reality sets in that there is nothing else we can do but walk away to help ourselves. Try a rehab a church or force yourself into positive activities to try and build a new life without alcohol. Want to save yourself and your relationships more than you want that drink. Good luck to you and I pray we all find the WILL to change our lives for the better.
