Finally put a boundary on my friend with drinking. Feeling guilt.
My friend has a lot of problems with drinking. He has very poor mental health and uses it to self medicate. When he drinks he turns so cruel to me and never seems to accept it. I'm going through a crisis right now and he's getting drunk and texting me cryptic dark stuff and voice memos he knows will upset me. When sober he deletes it all. I've been putting up with it for so long. The other night he was so disrespectful towards my crisis, when just that morning he was being so kind about it. I had a breaking point and the next day told him to stop messaging me when he's drunk. He understood and was calm about it all. But now I'm laying here feeling so guilty that I'd have times he's not allowed to talk to me. For years , over half a decade now, they've been such a high priority in my life. And I'm a extremely high one in theirs too. I just feel awful.

Is it possible the disappointment with your friend and the fact that you have to put up boundaries now has made you feel awful..?
It seems like the relationship is unpredictable and possibly toxic now.
I hope things work out like you would like.🌟
@justcallmeektorp I'm so sorry you're dealing with that. Alcoholic is an addiction and some if not most who are addicted can get pretty toxic. Try to not allow his actions to upset you cause it's really frustrating to deal with someone like that, especially when you care about them.
I really want to chat with you about this please. Message me if you can please
