Hardest thing
Accepting the fact that I'm an alcoholic was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. I repressed it for so long. Now about 6 months sober. Just a little little scarring and I'm still a young man. They though I had irritable bowl syndrome. It turned out it was just the alcohol. I would isolate and drink which was a bad combo. I'm glad to say I don't miss it. I hardly think about it. A chapter in life I don't want to flip back to. But it was acceptance and saying it out loud that was the hardest.
@TrueSight
It is a hard thing to do and some even if they know it quit drinking etc still may not acknowledge it out loud....
congratulations.
@toughTiger6481. I didn't accept it until 3 doctors told me I was destroying myself and I saw test results. Took a near dangerous situation to shock it into reality. I've actually only said it out loud to a few trusted people. I didn't go to AA. How I quit drinking is the miraculous story. I'm fortunate that I'm never been in an environment where there were people drinking since I quit. But I'm not tempted by the aisle at the store. I guess being told you will go down does readjust some mental settings. If anyone wants to know how I quit you can DM me. I don't want to accidentally offend anyone with talk involving divine help.
@TrueSight
The good Shephard helped you. So amazing!
Idk how to dm on here but I would love to know how you quit. I’m struggling right now…
@OptimusRon
Its really hard at first but for me it was simply keeping my mind busy with mindfulness, therapy, grounding, and finding good support groups. You can do it. Sending you lots of puffer glimmer and strength 🐡✨️✨️✨️

@SummerKay2024 doctors said if I quit cold turkey without help, I had a high chance of lethal seizures. I drank enough to do some liver damage. I quit totally through private self-faith healing. Woke up the next morning without my usual tremors and they never came back. Never had any cravings or temptations. Being around it doesn't bother me. Now it's like it never happened. My liver still has the level of damage, but it will heal itself over time. A lot of doctors didn't believe my account yet could never explain why the withdrawals weren't bad enough to put me in the hospital. It stumpted them.
