Helpful Activities for Recovery

What hobbies or activities have you found helpful in your recovery?
I pour into my studies, I spend time with my kid, I enjoy anything active I can do, and I go to meetings! Those things work for me, but the key is to find what works for you. Community makes everything easier!
For me, I love to get outside! Take a walk, go to the river, read at the park. Anything outside. I took it all for granted, all the beauty outside when I was using !! :)

@SoulfullyAButterfly
@SoulfullyAButterfly, there are so many different hobbies and activities that can be helpful during recovery. 🌱 Things like journaling, drawing, reading, listening to music, going for walks, spending time in nature, or even learning something new can give the mind a healthy distraction and create moments of calm.
Sometimes even small activities, like taking a warm shower, watching a favourite show, doing a puzzle, or talking with someone you trust, can help when things feel overwhelming. What matters most is finding something that feels comforting and positive for you, without putting pressure on yourself to be perfect. ❤️
Running and in general doing sports, cleaning, watching movies... it's just that every time i start drinking can't stop and everytime i go out with friends we're all drinking... I'd like to find non drinking alternatives so thanks for this thread. I used to love reading, doing theatre, being an activist.. now all of that seem fade...
