I am a recovering alcoholic and I have done pot yes and recovering from it in 2024 and doing so much better drinking I turn it down I do drink a truly or a Shirley temple or a wine cooler but it goes to 1 a week that that’s that and I’m doing everything I can I love it. I will never drink heavy stuff again or smoke pot because I have a son to worry about and think about I can’t sit there and not be sober for him I rather be sober for me and my family and my friends and my step kids as well. Instead of drinking and smoking pot I write in my journal or go for a walk and to me it’s the best feeling in the world.

@CarolinaQueenBee

 Congratulations on making such huge improvements in your life. My dad was an alcoholic and he did not stop drinking. He passed away when he was about nine years younger than me. Despite that, I drank heavily from my early teens until my mid-30s. I finally cut back to one or two drinks a week, then I simply lost interest in drinking at all. I've not had any alcohol for over 20 years.

Speaking of taking a walk, I found exercise to be very helpful, as it helps clear the mind, along with experiencing the endorphins often referred to when someone describes a "runner's high."

Thank you so much

Keep on doing good

I didn’t read anything there you could be judged badly for. In fact, you sound like a very caring person that’s sacrificing something you like for the people around you. I think thats incredibly kind of you.

hi✋✋ good morning
