No judgement here!

Welcome to seven cups.

Thank you for your honesty.

You've taken the first steps by admitting you need help.

You should be proud of that.

Five days is amazing.

It's important to take it one day at a time.

And to find something you are passionate about to fill your days 💚

Hello, what helped me is physically restricting alcohol. I literally moved to my mum's place, so i knew i couldn't drink in front of her. I thought about it at first too, i was looking forward to the moment she leaves so i could drink, but i never acted on it, because i knew i did so much just to stop. Thoughts stopped after about a months. I still looked forward to holidays, because i could drink with company. But after 2 months, life went on, i got other things to worry about. And i felt like my mind is finally clear. Like i see what's going on in my life with clear judgment, and i haven't felt like that in a long time. It's been 4 months now. I don't ever think about it on daily basis. Been working on understanding what i want from life and how i actually want to live, it's hard, but having clear mind is so worth it. I didn't even realize it was so bad, when i was drinking.

So my advice, make it hard for yourself to drink, get some part time job, try new project. The best is, it doesn't need to work out. It doesn't matter if the new business or activity fails if in the result it made you busy for some time and you didn't have time to think about drinking. I tried starting a business the first days after i moved. I don't care about businesses, it only lasted a week, but i was busy doing something and i think it's good enough
