@MossyVeronica

me no thinks anyone should get the right to judge you when your trying to take a step towards overcoming your addiction...it's detrimental to your health and your taking a step to get better...if anything...people should feel inspired and be proud of you for trying to get better 💕

the judgy ones...they'll judge for anything... but their judgement shouldn't matter over your health <3

please do go to rehab if your considering and I hope you find the help you need 💕

Na you should not be judged alcohol and weed ate very common where I stay. Even heroin addicts are not judged when seeking help. If you were not seeking help and casing trouble you may be judged then

Let me just be straight with you, someone will always be judging. I've been to rehab 7 times, and both in rehab and in support groups like NA, I've always been judged. There are people who specifically only used one drug, and they judge anyone who uses anything else, meth addicts that judge heroin addicts, herpin addicts that judge meth addicts, alcoholics that judge drug addicts and vise versa. You will face judgement from someone in one way or another, the best thing to do is not care about other people's opinions. Especially in rehab. Rehab is full of sick people trying to become better people. And there fore many of those toxic traits are still very present. So just remember to not take it personally. You also don't have to share with other patients what your drugs of choice are. That's your business not theirs. I'm a recovering hard drug addict, BUT most of the addicts close to me are all alcoholics and weed addicts. The issue is, none of them get help because they think there is nothing wrong with it. The simply fact that u acknowledge u do have a problem with those substances is huge. And the fact u want to get help for it is even bigger! I'm super proud of you. Seriously! ♡ I can't begun to tell u how much I wish Mt family would get help, but they don't see themselves as addicts because it's only "weed or alcohol" (while also dealing with them shaming me for being a junkie) so I just want u to know, I don't judge you, in fact what I think u are doing is commendable! Ur amazing! But just be aware, u will face judgements in the recovery community. I hate to say it but it's just the way it is. The key thing is to not give what they have to say any weight. And not even sharing details with those types. You will learn very fast who to and not to share with ya know? We all may have a similar issue, which is addiction.... but despite having that common ground, it's the same as it is in the world, someone somewhere is always judging. You WILL find people who don't act that way, and those are the people u want to keep close. There are many WONDERFUL people in the recovery community. But there are still some bad apples.. and just people that are hurting, so for then, putting judgements on someone else makes then feel better about themselves. My sponsor said two things to me which really stuck, one of which was "what people say about you is none of your business" and second was "when people speak badly about you, they are just projecting their own hurts and insecurities" basically when they talk badly about u, it's not actually about you, it's always about them. And those two things REALLY helped me to stop taking what people said personally. If you ever want to talk further, I'm always here if u need to chat
