Hello! I'm interstate80 and you can call me Jyll. :]

I have a great deal of personal experience with drug addiction andrecovery. I am always open to answering any questions you may have regarding my experiences or how I got clean.

As my first question, I'd like to ask:

How has drug addiction affected your life?

It controls me. I'm addicted to cannabis. But it helps so much with depression. I'm an American vet with PTSD.

I get what you're saying. I have used marijuana for about 35 years. I now realize I had been self medicating. People look down on users. My doc doesn't ant me smoking but it's just so hard to give up when depressed. I find it very helpful. I'm trying not to smoke right now but I'm having a lot of difficulty with it as my depression is really bad and I just want some relief. I may have to cave because I just can't live like this

Well guys as I can see that this post also talks about cannabis smoking so I really wanted to know is it harmful to smoke cannabis or is it really an anti depressant?

I truly believe it's a good anti-depressant. I can be really low but if I can get my hands on a joint the depression lifts for the day/evening and I get a better sleep. It's very controversial though. My psychiatrist doesn't want me smoking as she says it triggers my episodes, I disagree so in the future I'm not going to say anything. Now anyone with anxiety proble,s probably shouldn't smoke, it increases the anxiety.
