Substance abuse support
Hello
I'm looking for some support on dealing with my cocaine addiction. From someone who can relate and understand. I'm not sure how to use this app yet. It's very confusing. Anyway hello everybody
@Ceelldee
As a fellow addict but in recovery I can understand well, My drug of choise is different but to me that does not matter too much. I have worked professionally in addiction support, so, if I can help in any way please reach out to me. Stephen
Hello. I'm looking for support and advice in dealing with my meth addiction. This has caused many other problems that I'm not equipped to deal with, which in turn, causes me to continue to use. I'm also here to share my experiences that may help someone else dealing with this monster that is addiction
@Steph1418 thanks so much for not only sharing but also offering your support.
I know more than I care to admit what you are going through and I am so sorry to hear of your struggles.
Meth is all that is evil; grabs hold of you and mentally alters your perception, desire and overall direction. It indeed becomes, only more, of a vicious cycle that continues to spiral.
Are you seeking support. (This can same embarrassing and disclosing can seem scary but honestly professional confidential support is there for a reason)
I hate people who try to simplify what is hell and something no one should ever have to experience but can I emphasis how much you just need to make a choice. It is mind over matter.....Far from easy and requiring literally a step at a time.
I hope you are keeping safe when you use and that you know life has so much more to offer. It will be okay and get easier.
@tornwillow
Thank you for your kind words and advise. I don't know why the choice is so hard for me. It should be a no brainier to just leave it alone. I need to work on strengthening my mind, which meth weakened, and put my big girl panties on and just do it. I'm so scared of dealing with all the emotions that I bury because I don't like feeling them. Feelings like guilt for the things that, because of meth, I have done and can't take back and many more. It's a vicious cycle and I'm just tired.i want my life back, and I know I have to take that first step and stick to it, but I'm just scared.
@Steph1418 The truth is that having in mind the fact that methamphetamine is one of the most addictive drugs, it becomes evident that meth rehabilitation is a big challenge for the patient as well as health professionals involved in the process. Taking even small amounts of methamphetamine can result in many of the same health effects as those of other stimulants
The most effective therapy in case of meth addiction is carefully planned behavioral therapy.
