Family Stress (specifically father figure)
My mom just had surgery and the last time she had surgery I was a minor. I did all the house work while going to school and balancing a job. My father would barely lift a finger. Here I am an adult unable to move out and turning back to this problem. I choose not to do all the work and only enough to still do something, but not overwhelm myself. How do I cope with a father trying to put me in the place of my mother doing all the household chores again?
It is a toxic atmosphere. I am closeted and the household isn't very accepting or supportive. Very traditionalist mindset in part of the household.
@fashionablellama the most important thing is to do your self care like exercise, support groups or whatever and then do what cleaning you are able.
