Cancer Destroyed My Life And I Can’t Take It Anymore
I’m a male in my 20s. I had leukemia when I was younger and the side effects were severe due to radiation and chemotherapy. I’m now only 5’2, lost most my hair, and I can’t gain muscle so I have the muscle mass of a child. Because of this I was bullied most of my life and called names like cancer boy. I can’t get a job, no girl will go out with me for obvious reasons, I no longer go to college because I couldn’t take the way people treated me. I have few friends and I’m incredibly lonely. When I do go out, I end just feeling worse.
For example, the other day I went to a casino with my friends and I was harassed by a janitor and she called me a little kid and tried to kick me out for not being 21. I no longer want to even leave my house. Finally, my best friend was my beagle who died last year and I feel no point in living anymore. I don’t see anyway things will get better at this point.
Hi I understand that u had leukaemia but u doesn’t have anymore ,it’s sad u was bullied most of your life those who bullied you probably had problems with themselves.Let’s try do something for yourself enjoy your life ,keep going looking for job don’t give up quickly it can be any job until u find that job u really like ,I bet you will find a girl who will love you for who you are and not because of your past or any reason.but because of your good heart .And don’t let anybody to put u down or bully you ,that janitor haven’t any right to call you little kid that not acceptable what she said to u .if anyone bully you in college then report it to the school teacher or head teacher. That sounds rough! I'm so sorry that you've been treated that way. It's not okay. I'm sorry to hear about your dog. It hurts badly to lose a beloved pet. You've been going through a lot. Have you considered therapy? Sometimes it helps to talk to a professional. Do you have anyone fighting in your corner? One or two good friends or relatives who truly care makes a big difference. I play online poker for a living. Perhaps this is something you could look into? Now, Im not encouraging gambling but poker is a mix of skill and luck and if you learn how to play and good strategy, plus are smart then you can make money from it
@RedHerring33. I'm so sorry you were bullied and you lost your dog. You are a warrior for going through cancer and surviving. I think you should stay away from sinful places like casinos and bars. It's like bad people hangout areas. Go somewhere that would make you smile. It's good to get out of the house. Are you able to hike? Maybe go to a concert, broadway show, football game, miniature golf, museum, go fishing, go camping, go out to dinner... I'm glad you have some friends. Friends make people smile.

@RedHerring33 I am sorry to hear about your struggle. It's unfortunate and I wish you best in life. why can't you get a job? lots of places give preference to people who recovered from such illness.
I’ve tried many times, when ever I go into a interview the person always looks at me like I’m a freak and I never get the job. I look like I’m 12 years old, most employers do not want someone that looks like that to work for them sadly.
@RedHerring33 how about virtual work? Many times there is Volunteer work that can be done. Although it does not pay the bills it helps build self esteem.
@RedHerring33. Sorry you have a hard time finding a job. What kind of work are you interested in? I don't look like my age either. When I was in my 30s I was getting phone numbers from teenagers. When I tell people my age, they have a hard time believing me. My body looks like a teenager but now my hair is turning white so maybe I will look more my age lol.
