Friend problems

I feel like I am being ignored and pushed to the side by my friends. They always used to ask me to join them in activities such as school clubs and outside of school things. I would always try my best to go whenever I could, but anxiety stops me from doing a lot of stuff so I sometimes declined the invite. More recently, I've seen all of my friend group online having fun, and when I asked them why they stopped inviting me I was hit with the "We don't bother anymore." What do I do about this? 😕

@Koolestkat777

This happens to many people when you decline enough times they quit invites .....

the only thing i think that works is You invite them to things or get involved in the planning .... after you regularly attend some things they get over the why bother inviting they will say no mind frame.

Hey there Kool,
I understand how anxiety can isolate us sometimes and make it harder to socialize.

Our friends can lose their patience with us and when that happens, it hurts.
I understand the feeling of wanting to be included even though we can't always go,
to be asked even if the answer might be no.
What if you would explain to them that you have anxiety and that sometimes
makes it hard for you to go outside and spend time with them?
Would them understanding what you're going through help?
If they knew what you are going through, with this anxiety,
would they rather ask and accept the answer "no",
but be willing to ask in hopes for a "yes"?

It's always very helpful to talk about things,
is it possible that they don't know what challenges you are facing?
If they do, would it be possible that they need a reminder?
It sounds like they want to spend time with you,but do feel rejected,
which in turn is doing the same to you.
How could you explain to them about how your anxiety works?

Would them knowing how you feel, help you connect more with them?
It sounds like they care and that you care.
Would you say it's worth the try?
✨💙✨

@Koolestkat777 Hey!

I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling excluded and pushed aside by your friends. It can be hurtful to see them having fun without you and to receive that kind of response. It's important to remember that you are not alone in experiencing these feelings, and many people go through similar situations. It may be helpful to have an open and honest conversation with your friends to express how you feel and to understand their perspective. They may not be fully aware of the impact their actions have on you.

Additionally, consider exploring new opportunities and activities where you can meet new people who share similar interests and values. Remember, true friends are supportive and understanding, so focus on surrounding yourself with people who appreciate and include you.

They sound like shi,tty "friends" if they can't support you in your struggle, on top of that it they acted hella petty. I honestly don't bother anymore with people that expect me to understand them and go out of my way and comfort to meet their needs, when they don't return the same empathy they want me to exercise. Not your fault that you mismatch with them and people in the comments trying to assign the blame to you, like *you* ***,ked up and that *you* have to get back to them are probably projecting how they've been forced into submission. I'd be fu,cking upset if I was in your place.
