@LisaMeighanMScGMBPsS hi Lisa💖 hope your doing ok 💖 thanks for the check in💖 I've been definitely struggling with the heat and memories that I'd once blocked out 🙁 wish I could block them out again. Other than that I've been doing ok😁 been sitting outside every morning watching the sunrise, and I finally wrote the poem for my sons birthday, yaaay! He's in heaven but I always attach a poem to a balloon and let it float up to heaven on his birthday😁💖 anyways hope you have a great weekend 💖 gives you a giant tiny hug 💗
What a heartfelt response! I’m so sorry to hear you’ve had a really really tough time but also you’re honouring your son’s memory with writing him what I’m sure is a beautiful poem. . You have so much strength and are always so kind to all of us here despite going through really heartbreaking times. I’m thinking of you and hoping you keep reaching out here. The sunrise? That sounds stunning!
And sending my thoughts back to you! Thank you for those virtual hugs :)

@LisaMeighanMScGMBPsS Hello, I am new here. Hi everyone. Just going through things and really needed a community that I feel like I could vent to. It is hard with my family and now ex-boyfriend. Just searching for a way out of this hard life.
and welcome to 7 Cups. :) Please know this is your safe place to vent or whatever you need to do.
Thank you for this. Sometimes being told that we are heard can make a difference.
It’s what we always want you to feel here. It makes a big difference and we all need to know we are heard. :) That brings up a good point and one that is crucial to us being humans.
It is easy to sometimes think, I just wish I had someone to talk to about this. For some it is easy to reach out, but for others it's hard and I struggle with that. I usually tell myself, it's fine and just try to move on. I know I am not alone in how I struggle.
@LisaMeighanMScGMBPsS
I've felt sad and sometimes struggle with anxiousness because I was told last Saturday that someone I was friends with needs time to think and obviously it made me nervous and I cried, but as the week has gone on, I realize that respecting his request is more important. I feel like I shouldn't expect any timeline even though most say to ask. I don't think it's necessary because it's not about me, its about him and when he feels ready. Aside from that, I've surprised myself with how well I have managed this nervewracking period of my life since I don't know what is going to happen, It's already hard as it is so I haven't wanted to put any pressure on good or bad outcomes. I personally feel that when you don't put pressure than the situation because a little easier to manage.
@amusingWest5360 * becomes a little easier to manage
@amusingWest5360
What a thoughtful reflection. I am so sorry to hear you've felt sad, you've decided to sit with the pain and learn from it and also realise what is yours and what isn't yours to carry. :) I think this is crucial, and you've made such a big step forward with choosing to allow it to pass.
Thanks for posting this and being there for the community! Today was better than yesterday, but trying to stay strong ad best i can.

It's a new day :) I am so glad you saw the difference between one day to the next.
Feeling like a burden
@ivoryWalker1995
It is easy to let our thoughts become an ever growing chain, each link making the whole thing heavier and harder to shrug off. I think maybe many share the worry of being burdensome, and possibly too do not see how much they actually do uplift and support those around them. Sometimes we need to lean on others to keep our footing or to get back up. Even when it is hard to see how we actually contribute, we have worth and influence the world around us in ways we sometimes we overlook ourselves. The inner critic is often harsh, but even if it shines a spotlight on things we wished were different, it doesn't mean everything it says is necessarily true.
You may be a lighter load than you imagine.
@LisaMeighanMScGMBPsS @BastionKnight how are you doing??

*Smiles* How are you doing? I read what you posted about the poem for your son; that is a very lovely image. I am sorry to hear the heat and less happy memories have intruded on your comfort, and hope that both are having less of a strain on you. I am confident that you are still tackling each and every challenge with the same exuberance that you seem to display daily. If however things are still a little tougher than usual, please know that there is a Knight standing in the wings should you need a little help pushing back against that which vexes you.
@BastionKnight 💖 your the sweetest 💖 how is your recovery going? You know you never have to go through anything alone right here for you 💗hugs you tightly 💖
@Tinywhisper11
*Smiles* You truly are an especially kind and sweet-natured individual. I hope you realise just how powerful an effect you have on those who have the good fortune to cross paths with you.
I know this is probably really silly but I just came back from a Weird Al concert (yes he’s old but he still tours a little) and I’m a little disappointed he didn’t play “Foil.” I still had a good time, he played all my other favorites—“Amish Paradise,” “Party in the CIA,” the good stuff. However, “Foil” is my favorite because it helped me laugh at a difficult experience I had in freshman and sophomore year of high school. In freshman year, I started noticing some delusions and eventually some psychosis. (Yeah, I was oddly aware that my paranoid delusions and grandiose delusions were delusions and that some auditory, tactile, and kinesthetic experiences were not aligned with reality.) In sophomore year, I was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder bipolar type (although it was documented weird, the psychologist told me and my mom that but typed schizoaffective disorder in one line and MDD in the next, which later caused a miscommunication between me and the person prescribing my medication) and I thought it was going to be a life long struggle. Thankfully, I was wrong. It was a side effect of a medication that I kind of didn’t need that badly and I don’t take that anymore and I don’t have to live with that anymore. I say all of that to say that “Foil” helped me have a good laugh about that scary time in my life. In a way though, I’m glad that he didn’t sing “Foil” at the concert because there’s a quiet victory I feel now listening to it by myself.
I’m so glad that the mess was as temporary as it ended up being. I was actually afraid to have kids in the far off future because I thought if I had any kids that I would have a relapse but now I know that as long as I’m meticulously careful with any sort of prescription (I took that medicine as prescribed and it slowly caused me problems) and even coffee I should be okay. That’s the reason I want to be a clinical psychologist. I want to help people in similar situations, especially because not very many of those situations are as temporary. However, conditions like that can be managed very well and I hope to understand people going through such things in a way that most people (thankfully) can’t.
Feeling worse then yesterday having a very hard time with losing my dad to suicide in March. I just don’t understand why this had to happen I just want to feel better I can’t keep feeling depressed it’s not working for me I have to be happy and take care of my kids
Hey Lisa, not doing so well. Feel down a lot and no energy to do anything
