My Ex Moved on

I’m not even ready to date yet and he’s already talking to new women. It’s been 6 months since he moved out which is a decent time but it really hurt my feelings to see him moving on and I’m not ready yet. Any advice to cope with this or new perspectives to help feel better about this would be greatly appreciated

@adventurousCircle6652 I am only guessing, but I think maybe moving on was their idea. If so it is not surprising they are dating.

If it was your idea, but they were not really being very engaging, you may have been the one suffering because you cared so much.

If they left you and you find it hard to let go of them, what did yoiu think you were getting from that relationship and was it really like that?

There are many questions when relationships end. It is not easy. Sometimes a therapist is needed to sort things out.

Thanks for sharing.

@adventurousCircle6652 this may sound harsh and not something you may not want to hear but it's just truth, some people may have felt ready to move on or they know that moving on is something that has to be done. I think that if it bothers you a lot to see on social media if you follow him, then unfollow. force yourself to not care about what he's doing and focus on making yourself busy. He is free to do what he wants now and the harsh reality is we have to accept what we don't want to accept. hope that makes sense

Hi, I know you are hurting because you lost someone you care about even though they are still alive. I’ve experienced that also with past relationships. I gave myself time to grieve until I had enough. I still find myself thinking about them from time to time. When I do, I pray for them.

Hey! I've def been there before and it's really hard. The feelings of anger, jealousy confusion, grief, and guilt come up over something society tells you you should be done dealing with. I want you to know that how you feel is completely normal and okay. You were with this person I assume for a while so you've been accustomed with this person being yours, moving out is one thing saying you want to break up is another thing but knowing that the other person is dating really solidifies the fact that you guys do not have a future. Accept that this is something you cannot change and redirect that energy into yourself. You have to move on, you deserve that.
