"Normal"?
There Is No Such Thing as "Normal."
One of the biggest myths we tell ourselves is that everyone else has it together and we're the only ones struggling.
The truth is, "normal" is an illusion.
Some people battle anxiety every day.
Some are grieving quietly.
Some are healing from trauma.
Some are learning to set boundaries for the first time.
Some smile while carrying burdens no one can see.
Our experiences, personalities, cultures, and life stories are all different. There is no single way you're supposed to think, feel, or heal.
Instead of asking yourself, "Why can't I be normal?" try asking:
"What do I need right now?"
Healing isn't about becoming someone else's version of normal. It is about becoming more authentically you and accepting your emotions, honoring your journey, and growing at your own pace.
Discussion Question: Have you ever compared yourself to someone else's "normal"? What helped you start embracing your own path?

This is so true.
I feel like many of us have in one way or another fell in the comparison trap of how we are doing/ feeling vs what we feel should’ve been ‘normal’.
Everyone’s normal can differ indeed and is valid as is.
What helped me cope with this ‘gap’ was sitting with how I feel and practicing acceptance. Extending some compassion to myself for feeling the way I did and reminding myself that the only normal I should believe is my own. 🌻
