Releasing myself of it all
Today I decide I am letting go of the hope, the potential, the fantasy, the delusion, the what ifs how it was, the memories , how it could have been and fully accepting the reality of it all.
Today I let go of the nostalgia, of the people who once /twice /thrice had me and didn't value you me the way I valued and cared about them.
I let go of the idea of them and missing them, I let go of the desire of wanting them back into my life.
I let go of the hope of wanting them to text back or regret losing me after all this time.
I accept the fact that I deserve better and I'm meant for better connections and encounters though I don't need them, as I am okay with or without it.
Hope anyone who has been through anything similar benefit from my random words 🙏

@Eternallizard20 if you feel you deserve better friends- it's only a matter of time and life will bless you with them. I dropped some friends too and it brought me a lot of peace and the door to better company opened up in time...
@Eternallizard20 your words remind me of a definition I once heard , "Forgiveness is giving up all hope of a better past". It's very liberating when we're able to jettison what we've long since outgrown, it's good to hear that you're moving towards finding that place of peace within.
@Eternallizard20 Around age 36 I was going through a very hard time trying to juggle lots of stuff, feeling overwhelmed, and nearing mental collapse my dad said "You need to learn to let go." It's taken a long while, a year of CBT and I'll never be perfect at it but I understand better and am better at letting go of stuff and have a better understanding of why some things are harder to let go than others. That's not a baby step your taking but a big step forward. Gratz and keep growing.
