The last Christmas dinner I had before my grandparents passed, memorable because it was my last with them, memorable because my granny loved making everything from scratch, nothing has ever tasted as good since 😊💚

@amiablePeace77 Although I’ve had many memorable Christmas dinners with my my husband years later with her and my children my most memorable has to be with my husband. We began Chat About Christmas dinner. At first it was to be just him and I till I revealed there were people in my groups in program who had nowhere to go for Christmas despite either having family or none at all. He told me too go ahead and invite whoever I wanted so they wouldnt need be alone. That was first that made it special. It was years I had anyone in the home due to abuse growing uo with my step father and ex. To add a touch to specialness it was my husband who did all the cooking. I din’t lift a finger. He made a very large dinner with 3 different types of meat despite not having all those people there to eat that much food. After the guests left and I stood by the sink trying to wash the dishes when I broke down in tears. He asked what was wrong. I told him nothin’ other than the fact I never had anyone in my life go through so much for me where my happiness was most important to the person.

@amiablePeace77 Yea and he was definetly a special unique kind of person. Every christmas, thanksiving with or without guests he still would prepare a fairly large meal. The other that stands out is he was jewish which they normally dont celerbrate but ‘cause I was Catholic and did celerbrate he would put it all together even would encourage me to attend midnight mass. He would drive me to the church and while I attended the mass he sat outside in his car waiting for me to come out.
