@Tinkslostinspace letting go is not easy, When I feel I want something, it seems like an automatic response to cling to it.

What helped me let go of some things was to go over them in my mind and honestly evaluate if I was happy when I got them and had them for a while. The promise was greater than the actual experience.

I sense of not having make us to want that thing even more. But have to consciously remind myself will I even be happy having that or its just my idea of happiness.

Take Care, and learn to let go.

FYI I am also not so good in following the same advice above

@Tinkslostinspace There must be a degree in life, everything must go with the flow, don't force it too much, let it go when it's time to let it go. In a sense, letting go is a kind of generosity, and it is also a kind of great wisdom in life. We must understand the meaning and true meaning of letting go, and understand that letting go is the sublimation of the soul and the improvement of the spirit. Only by letting go properly can we get it, and learning to let go will make life easier.

@lightSailboat7796 letting go of ideas and concepts that we took on as children growing up because that is what surrounded us. As adults we have the opportunity to choose what to keep and what to discard or let go of.
