Hi Everyone 😊! Today’s post is going to be about a person in a scenario. Here is a scenario, and it imagine it happened to a friend of yours.

”I have been feeling so depressed and stressed lately because of my parents’ expectations of me working in the family business.”

”However, I want to study nursing. I am putting on weight from binge eating to deal with all the stress, and I am feeling a bad about myself. I don’t know what to do. Can you help me?”

My response: What I would tell a friend if they were in a similar scenario is to try to talk to their parents about how they feel. I would also tell them to find try looking up ways to alleviate stress eating so that they can feel better about themselves. What about you? I look forward to hearing your responses Desmynn

That was the step on my path today. What I would tell a friend if they were feeling like me. In your case. Talk to your parents. Let them know you appreciate the family business and their desire for you to be involved. But let them know you are feeling called to nursing. For the stress eating. You can substitute things. Set limits on how much. For me - a bowl of chips a day put the bag away. Eventually I still go back to the whole bag so I had to cut them out aml together again. You are loved. You matter. You are needed.

I would tell them to talk to their parents about not wanting to be part of the family business. I would also tell them that they may not be very accepting of this, and that she should be prepared to explain to them why she is choosing a different path.
