Military and First Responder Trauma Support Group
Hi everyone,
I’m excited to announce the new launch of a Military and First Responder Trauma Support Group following wider community feedback requesting this support space.
The first session will take place on Sunday 9th February in the trauma support room on the adult side from 2:00pm to 3:00pm (2:55pm) ET and will provide a space for active or veteran military service members, emergency medical staff and law enforcement officers to share their experiences of trauma.
The timing is a little difficult at the moment as my availability for this weekend is extremely low and I’m not sure about the expected activity levels depending on times it takes place but hopefully this will provide enough time to have lots of thoughts shared and listened to, as well as the opportunity to suggest your own preferred times for future sessions possibly through a google forms document that will be sent out at the end of the session.
Hope to see many of you there!

Hello,
I would be very interested in this would you be willing to send me a reminder on Sunday morning???
@Kieran000
aww, this is such a meaningful space you're creating🫶i think it'll be so valuable for everyone involved. i'm sure the first session will be amazing and i love that you're open to feedback for future times too! wishing you the best of luck with the first session
Is this chat going to be a regular thing? If so, is there a schedule or place I can subscribe to get reminders so I can try to fit it in? Thanks for this.
Hi Cycling, I am not sure if it will be a regular thing within this sub-community.
There is the pending introduction of three separate sub-communities that will focus on providing support to Military, Emergency Services and Healthcare Workers. @SoulfullyAButterfly or @CheeryMango can inform more on this as I’m not 100% sure what’s confirmed.
Trauma Support does remain a place for receiving support for all trauma, and your experiences can come under this if you feel it should, which are commonly associated with those forms of employment as direct and/or vicarious trauma. Therefore, you can find the scheduled discussions using the link below which are those announced 24 hours in advance.
Hope my response helps!
@Kieran000
Thanks for the information
