Trauma Community Forums Daily Check in - Monday 6th February 2017
How are you doing today? Its the start of another week, and I am wondering what you are all getting up to this coming week. Remember everyone has their good and bad days especially when dealing with trauma issues so please be kind to yourselves and don't give yourselves a hard time for being human and having emotions and feelings that sometimes get a little tough to deal with. We are here for you and this space is yours to share how you are, what you are doing to look after yourselves, what self care techniques have you been trying out this past week, any achievements, any thoughtful moments you have had on your healing journey etc This space is for all of you to offer your support to one another, and even share a moment of laughter if you wish :)

I'm alright. I'm just kinda here today. I was really angry earlier, because State is at two of our nursing homes right now, and I only had 7 out of 17 before but now I have all of them. Well the person who had the others hadn't updated the records in one of them since November, and I didn't have a chance to get out there last week, so State is at a facility where our records only go through November 8, and it's February 6. That could be REALLY bad for us if they pull one of our people's records. So I was trying to catch up on 3 months worth of printing and hole punching and everything for all these patients today. Thankfully I was able to get over there, because they were actually there to look at one of our patients because of how many falls she's had. I'm still mad that I'm stuck catching up on someone else's three month backlog, and she didn't even say anything when they said that she was going to do all the referrals now and I would have all the nursing homes. She just sat there. She didn't even give me the courtesy of telling me she was so far behind. I went and asked her when she'd last printed through after the meeting, and then she started making excuses before even telling me. The worst part is that our assessments that have to be in the binders within 5 days of admission weren't even in there, nor were the doctors' certifications of terminal illness, which also has to be in there within 5 days. We've had one of them since August. It's been 5 MONTHS, and the stuff that has to be in there by law within 5 DAYS isn't even in there
Other than that, I'm doin' alright. I see my therapist tomorrow, so that's something positive I guess.
Every time I close my eyes, what I see scares me so I jump and open my eyes back up. It's after midnight. I'm exhausted. I just wanna go to sleep ☹️😔
