I am feeling tired, and resolved that I will never comprehend men. Feeling grateful to start over in this house.
No comment on the day.
Ole fasioned- Since the incident we have gone back to charcoal bbq. Dang taste so good with some mesquite wood thrown on it.
Won't watch The Titanic personal thing.....
@95969 Hi there. I am feeling tired too so I feel the same way as you right now! That is wonderful that you are feeling grateful to start over! I am really happy for you. How neat that you went back to using a charcoal bbq! I bet the mesquite wood does make the food taste really good! I sort of wished I hadn't watched the Titanic actually- It was really sad. Thank you for checking in with me and have a beautiful night.

Great questions as my mood today is perplexing me.
1. What emotions are you feeling today?
I'm feeling... unsettled, bothered, aggitated, and in the mood to creatively produce something, something that represents me, yet struggling to formlate what it should be or get it out. I have really struggled with building an enduring identity after/around my complex trauma. I almost wish I were the type who could use avoidant coping mechanisms to stop thinking about what bothers me.
2. Are those emotions helping your day or making it more difficult?
In a way they are making today more difficult. It is Saturday, the only day off I have with my husband. I am not spending it with him (I'm in a different room) doing pleasure activities because I have such a strong, unrequieted urge to make sense of who I am. For me this impulse seems to be driven through art and the written word.
On the other hand, perhaps it is a sign of progress as there was a period of years before that I was doing 0 art and 0 writing -- it was like having a major block and being too disorganized to throw anything together, not to mention I was in survival mode and always borderline broke. Also, the underlying frustration pushes me to opt to create instead of opt to watch TV or something, which could be a good thing in terms of helping me generate positive emotions for the day.
Also, I wish I could work on something with him (my husband), but I feel like verbalizing these feelings is too hard, and I am scared of being left disappointed if he isn't able to be the person I feel I want/need him to be right now.
3. What's something that you like to do the "old-fashioned" way? Laundry (: Just kidding -- I don't like doing it the old-fashioned way, but we have to. We don't have a dryer, like most people living in China. The living quarters are just too cramped for a big appliance like that. Our laundry hangs on the balcony to airdry. Same with dishes/dishwasher: all dishes are done by hand.
4. What popular TV show or movie do you refuse to watch? Harry Potter. It's not that I refuse to watch it now, but I was not allowed to when I was younger, and I still haven't gotten around to it. Maybe on a long flight some time...
@artfulbalance Hi there! I'm glad you liked the questions! I'm sorry to hear that you were feeling unsettled, bothered, and agitated. Feeling so many emotions at once can be overwhelming. Have you ever thought about writing to help you get out what you need to? Writing seems to really help me with that. I can understand that these emotions are making your day more difficult. I think that's really great that you are driven through art and the written word. Those are both really good ways to show yourself who you are. I really admire the positive attitue you are taking towards what is going on in your life right now. It could be a really good idea to work on a project with your husband! That sounds like a great way to connect. I've never done laundry the old fashioned way and I didn't know that the houses are too small in China for a dryer! The Harry Potter movies were pretty good so you might like them if you every end up watching them. Thank you for sharing this with me and checking in. Have a beautiful day.
1. What emotions are you feeling today?
I feel tired, drained. Scared, ashamed and guilty. And sad.
2. Are those emotions helping your day or making it more difficult?
What a question lol. They're making my day more difficult
3. What's something that you like to do the "old-fashioned" way?
Eheh. Combat. I like medieval weapons. And locomotion, since I have driving phobia.
4. What popular TV show or movie do you refuse to watch?
Refuse? None I think. It's just that I don't like watching TV that much, I'm never in the mood.
@GhostlyLilian Hi there friend. I'm so sorry for the emotions that you were feeling. Those are really intense emotions to have and I hope you are feeling better today. Yes, I can totally understand why those emotions were making your day more difficult. When I feel them, my day is really tough too. That's really cool that you are into medieval weapons and locomotion! I think that's really awesome that you are never in the mood to watch TV! I wish I was like that! Thank you for checking in with me and have a beautiful night.
I'm feeling pretty calm today, but also a little worried about the pain I've been feeling in my knees and ankles for the last couple of days. Making my day a little more difficult, cause I'm not sure if I should rest so the pain doesn't get worse or if it's fine and I can just exercise
I don't think I'm very old fashioned
And I refuse to watch sword art online, cause I hated the first episode
@Madaraismyspiritanimal Hi there friend! I'm really happy to hear that you are feeling calm today. I can understand why you would be worried about the pain you are having in your knees and ankles. I would be worried too if that was happening to me so I hope you feel better soon. That's okay that you aren't very old fashioned! You don't have to be! I actually agree with you on Sword Art Online- I will not watch that either. I could NOT at all get into it! Thank you for checking in with me and have a beautiful night!

1. What emotions are you feeling today?
right now i feel good but slightly stressed since both my parents are in a bad mood and im trying to not let it affect me!
2. Are those emotions helping your day or making it more difficult?
well, feeling stressed certainly isnt helping but trying to not let it affect me would be positive!
3. What's something that you like to do the "old-fashioned" way?
i love this question. there are so many things i would like to do in some "old-fashioned day", for example communicating (not over text) and how people used to date in the past. It seems like there was a lot more communication and people around me arent really open at all towards meeting new people.
4. What popular TV show or movie do you refuse to watch?
game of thrones!
@AveryLove Hi there my friend! Oh no, I'm sorry to hear about your parents being in a bad mood! It used to always affect me too when my parents were like that. I hope you feel better soon! Yes you are right- Being stressed would definitely not help your day. I agree with you on communitcating the real way, not over a text! Like actually writing a letter! I like how people used to date in the past too! Game of Thrones is not a show I would watch either! Thank you for checking in with me and I hope you have a beautiful night!
@PeppermintStar0912
I love that opening quote.
1. What emotions are you feeling today? Is exhausted a feeling? No, okay. Well, under the exhaustion I'm feeling hopeful with a little side of anxiety thrown in.
2. Are those emotions helping your day or making it more difficult? The anxiety never helps, but it does make me think about what I'm thinking about, which is good I suppose. The hopeful is good. It helps me see how far I've come which then gives me reassurance that I will continue to move forward and make progress.
3. What's something that you like to do the "old-fashioned" way? Read books - real books with covers and pages that you can hold, and read in bed, and fall asleep with.
4. What popular TV show or movie do you refuse to watch? Anything dark, violent, frightening. My husband told me once that I grew up in a horror show. I don't need to watch them now.
I hope you all have a day that's filled with more good than not!
@ShadesOfGrace Hi there friend! I'm glad that you love the quote! I did too when I saw it! Exhaustion is definitely a feeling and I'm sorry about that. I've been feeling like that too and it can get tough to deal with. You are definitely right when you say that anxiety never helps. Yes! Hopeful is so good and I feel so happy that you will continue to move forward and make progress! I like to read books the old fashioned way too! I got a library card some time ago just for that purpose! I like to read right before bed too! I don't like to watch anything dark or scary either! It makes my heart race too much! Thank you so much for sharing this with me and checking in. Have a beautiful night!
