Hey All! Happy Friday, I hope everyone had a good week and is ready for the weekend!

Here are some questions to check in with today:

How are you doing today on a scare of 1-10?

What is a goal you have for today (big or small)?

What is something positive that has happened today or with in the last few days?

What is something postive about yourself?

How are you doing today on a scale of 1-10?

I had a decent (or at least not-awful) sleep last night, dreams were vivid and weird but not terrifying. Still feeling stuck, still having trouble with motivation, but am looking forward to my daughter's soccer match tomorrow morning. So let's say 4.5, relatively speaking.

What is a goal you have for today (big or small)?

Make myself something healthy to eat.

What is something positive that has happened today or with in the last few days?

Was able to reschedule my psychiatric appointment within one week of the original appointment -- was worried that I'd be stuck waiting another 6 weeks to get back in. Also, had a great video chat with my daughter last night, who was especially chatty and bubbly. Amid my struggles to find a smile, she has a knack of making me laugh despite it all.

Not bad for someone who isn't even 3 yet.

What is something postive about yourself?

Despite feeling crap and jumping at my own shadow and struggling to leave my room/bed recently, I'm still trying, or at least holding onto hope. Difficult moments pass. Everything is ok, including not feeling okay.

Not bad Mellio, things are looking up! Fun for the soccer game and amazing that she is so talkative at 3 years old. You must be a proud Papa? So cool that you were able to vido chat with her too. What's on the menu today?

You got it. This too shall pass. Be compassionate with yourself through the shaddows dear friend. Holding onto that hope is beautiful. Thanks for being here and sharing your journey with us.

Hugs, Mary

@MKJart Today I am going to rest my mind and do my best to still my thoughts (overthinking really does lead to exhaustion), try to feed my body something good, and continue to be as kind and compassionate to myself as possible while I weather the inner storm that is currently passing through. If that means another day hunkering down in my blanket fort again then so be it. Honestly, I just feel like curling into a ball and crying away the day, Mary (maybe I was being overly generous when I said that I was a 4.5 today lol).

It's frustrating, discomforting -- it really sucks to feel like this, but it is what it is. Recovery is a journey that takes so many twists and turns. I happen to be hitting a rough patch at the moment and even though it's hard, I'm grateful to have trauma community support and my coping skills to help carry through this. *Hugs*

I'm on a scale of 5 today. Little numb and anxious at the same time if that makes sense at all. My head feels numb, my chest feels anxious.

A goal today is collaborate with my new teacher on the Jackson Pollock watergun, paint rocket and balloon pop classes taking place these next three Sunday's at my house. I have between 25 and 40 kids coming, possibly more because of the poster. Fun. I need to recruit two more helpers.

A positive thing this morning is being able to get things together rather quickly.

Two postive attributes I have that will get me through the day are motivated and playful.

Hey! This is Hazel, checking in! I'm new to the trauma community.

How are you doing today on a scale of 1-10?

Today I'm feeling a 7. It's been good, but it's not fantastic! Here's to hoping for more improvements. A few days ago I was a -10, so I would say that 7 is pretty good!.

What is a goal you have for today (big or small)?

Today's goal is to get my Etsy store up and running! I'm super excited.

What is something positive that has happened today or with in the last few days?

I got closure after being abused for over 17 years. It was so amazing to feel free from that event, I'm sure in the long run I'll view it as a life- changing moment, but for now, I'm still kind of in shock.

What is something postive about yourself?

I think something positive about myself is that I'm making progress, period. That means that even if I don't love some stuff about myself now, I can change those things in the future, and that there is hope for me!

@Behindhazeleyes

So glad to hear that things are looking so up especially after having been so down.

I'm happy that you have found closure. I understand you say this is a recent development but wanted to extend congratulations. :-)

@TheAsh

on the scale prob a 3. Its better than been all week

goal i had was ro get to work and check.a prescribing list for electronic patient discharges. Managed it despite the usual friday bed crisis in the hospital.

something positive- being able to talk again today after isolating and shutting down from everything. Blotting out with alcohol and cold meds hasnt helped and wasnt safe which i realise. Appreciate all the kindness here and know i need to let people in. I guess if things get worse i need to let hubby know. I still havent got rid of things ive been holding on to. I know it isnt rigbt.

something good about me- still trying and carrying on. Why though am still unsure.

@inventiveOrange1

Hi Orange, Tough day! Way to go in getting your work done and opening up. Both can be incredibly difficult to manage when feeling this way. Mad props to you! Is there something holding you back from letting your hubby know what's going on and what you're holding on to? You're moving forward is inspiring. Thank you for being here.

Hugs,

Mary
