Hi All! Well we finally made it!! We are now officially a Trauma Support Sub Community smiley After months of hard work, we have finally got there! So well done to everyone who has supported us in this process. We have a fun week of activites lined up for you all to celebrate the launch and in a few weeks we hope if we have enough submissions, to send out our first newsletter for the Trauma Community, so it's all happening!

Our Hashtags: #traumasupport #traumaticexperiences

How about y'all? I hope today turns out to be a good day for you all, and a better one than perhaps some of you had yesterday. What are you plans for the start of the week? Have you got to roll yourselves out of bed for work? See to the children? Walk the dog? Or just chill infront of day time telly until you also wake up! lol Any plans to meet up with friends, attending some event, playing some sport?? I hope you have a great day today for you deserve that.

Healing from trauma, is tough work and so this space is for you to share whats happening in your world, how your healing process is doing, whats happening in your life, whether good, bad or inbetween. What positives have been happening for you lately, what achievements do you feel you have attained recently?

Please check in and let us know how you are doing. :)

Feeling a bit depressed this evening, had my first migraine in a month without any trigger I could identify, makes me worry that they are not going away at all. I had a very bad migraine that got me hospitalized 2 months ago and have been struggling since then trying everything I can to get it under control. My therapist thinks it has to do with my PTSD and as acupuncture is helping I am having to agree, but its hard to know what to do since I am going through a hard time at the moment with alot of nightmares and flashbacks.

I am pleased though that my little plants that I had moved to protect from slugs and snails seem to be doing a lot better today, and I bought a blueberry bush today as a 'feel better soon' gift ahhaha.

This is a rough week for me. I have so much homework due this week/weekend (literally like 35 things, 4 of which are papers), I have a birthday party I have to go to on Saturday (which wouldn't be an issue if I didn't have so much homework 😕), and I have therapy tomorrow and as much as I do love my therapist, sometimes I just wish I didn't have to deal with any of this. It's administrative professionals week at work though so I get presents every day like I did in February because I am one of two people in my office that has two titles lol, so at least I have that to look forward to every day!

I FINALLY got a letter with an appointment for a first actual therapy session - I was promised almost two months ago that I would get one within two months. Now it's FIVE MONTHS from now WTF I don't know what to do with this I am SO SO not willing to wait for another five months to deal with all of this but if I take care of things myself too much then I won't be in a bad enough situation to "deserve" public health therapy by the time I could FINALLY get it.

...Sorry for the RANT but sad

@hereigoagain Am sorry you have had to wait that long hereigo. Its not ideal but I guess at least its in the pipeline. I dont know what country your in but I know in the UK presently people are lucky if they get therapy and usually have to wait a long time now, made so much worse by all the cuts that have happened to services. I know in my area, people just arent getting help anymore. I know thats no consolation for you given how long you have waited and still have to wait but perhaps just try and hold onto the fact it will be happening. I dont know if in the meantime paying privately for a therapist is an option for you? There are low cost counsellors around but even with this I know its not idea for some people. You've every right to feel aggrieved especially as you were promised to be seen sooner.

The normal waiting time here is MUCH longer than five months, but my referral states that I'm having suicidal thoughts and all kinds of stuff that's not even true. I don't want to die I want to START MY LIFE ffs. Three bleeping DECADES of being too traumatised and ill to function should be more than enough right?? And the problem with it being "at least in the pipe" is that if I get to a slightly more than barely functioning level in the meantime which I sure as heck am planning to then they'll no longer help me because I won't have severe enough symptoms and blah blah I've been there before and got rejected and was supposed to pay for something private. Which is a freakin' joke because I've never been well enough to finish an education or hold a job that would make it possible to pay for that kinda thing. There are no low cost counsellors where I live, the ones that need them the most can't afford them. Just AAAAHHHHHH
