Good morning my beautiful community! I hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday. Today I wanted to talk a little bit about how exercise can help improve mental health.

Exercise is any bodily activity that enhances or maintains physical fitness and overall health and wellness. Exercise makes you feel good because it releases chemicals like endorphins and serotonin that improve your mood. If you exercise regularly, it can reduce your stress and symptoms of depression and anxiety and can also help with the recovery from mental health issues.

The benefits of exercise include the following: It can make you feel happier, can help with weight loss, it's good for your muscles and bones, it increases your energy levels, reduces your risk of chronic diseases, can help with skin health, can help improve brain function and memory, and helps with relaxation and sleep quality. Examples of exercise can include the following- brisk walking, jogging, swimming, biking, strength/resistance training, rowing, boxing, and aquarobics.

I would LOVE to know the following:

1. Do you think exercise can help improve mental health?

2. Do you exercise? What do you do? If you don't exercise, what would you like to do?

3. Is there anything you are struggling with today?

@baylinAnderson123

I do think exercise can help with mental health, but I do think it's important to make sure the place and atmosphere you exercise are pleasant for you. For example, I really don't like running on a treadmill at the gym cause I'm not actually in motion and the gym is too crammed.

I exercise at least an hour every day, unless I don't have the time. Usually riding my bike, but also hiking and jogging.

Today I'm struggling with a heavy feeling of dread, feeling negatively about everything and nothing at the same time.

@Madaraismyspiritanimal Hi there friend! Yes I agree with you very much... We have to enjoy the exercise we do because if we like it, we are more likely to stick with it! Great job on getting your exercise in everyday! That inspires me to want to work out more! I'm sorry about how you are feeling today. Negativity gets me all the time but it's good that you are talking about it! I hope you feel better soon and thank you for checking in with me!
