Traumatic Experiences Community Daily Check-In Sunday April 22nd 2018
Good Morning Survivor Family. I wanted to post something fun today, but due to an interruption in our peace I feel I need to address this with alle.
Whereas this is the Interweb, every now and then some ignant mcnuggett comes along and spews their uglyness and idocy in our direction.
This can trigger us, make us angry or sad, crush our will and steal our voice. This happens to many of us in many places on the web. Sometymes it's best to take a chill stance and not engage people. Or a laid back response like this...
But here is our safe place, and it is intolerable to be bullied here.
So what do we do when someone Bullies us? We Speak Out! In the real world we seek a person of authority, a Parent, Teacher, Manager/Boss, Police, Lawyer. Here you come to the Listeners. Here in Trauma Support we always seek to keep this a safe place. Our Trauma Support Room is only opened when we have enough proper staff, including Moderators,to run our Discussions, Groups, Events, and Open Chat safe and flwing in a constructive manner. In Our chatroom we always are watching over everyone (ye may have seen me there 
). Here in the Forums there are a few things can be done.
#1 Flagging.
This will mark the forum post for a Forum Mentor to look at. It can be a slow process, but it will make the offending post dissappear untill you refresh or leave the thread and come back to it.
#2 Seek a familiar Listener and bring it to their attention.
Any Listener can get in touch with a Forum Mentor and send the issue their way to be edited or deleted.
#3 On the Trauma Support Community Home Page, you may notice the menu bar just under the headder. There under Leaders, you will be able to link with any Listener on the team including being able to message our community mentor leader @Rain45 who is happy to be pmed. Forum Mentors and Forum Member leaders are those with editing abilties and who can also delete posts that you may wish deleted, so they would be your next port of call. Also you may pm @MonBon & @Anomalia our forum Ambassadors for assistance. You can also leave a tag for one of our team to respond to a post you may be concerned about.
Those on our team who are members can't be messaged by a member, and there are Teen Listeners there that can't be accessed by adults unless they are an Adult/Teen Listener. But posting one of us may be one of the fastest ways to get any situation addressed. You alle may always post me for anything, I am in and out every day and often, and I will do what it takes to get things sorted.
#4 you can pm @Laura or @Kate if no one from Trauma Support is available, but they are very busy and it may take a bit.
Never take bullying nor abuse from anyone! Never let them take your voice! Speak Out and Be Strong!
We alle care about you one and alle, and we will fiercely protect you to the best of our abillities.

Got back yesterday from my Bahama vacation. It was an ordeal, glad to be back

Storm I had an adventure
When my grandma died. We were really close, even I barely knew my parents, she was the one who took care of me and my brothers. When she died it was like unbelievable, the one person I looked up to who I would usually found sitting on the lead chair in the dining room while watching, or cooking somethink, or watching soap operas, or calling our reatives, or entering my room every night to check on me and to ask me what I wanted to eat the next day, at that time she lied there in a windowless teak wood box, sleeping peacefully without a single breathe. Usually when I saw her like this she would be up an hour or two later, but this time, she wouldn't wake up. And then I thought to myself, that maybe being where she was at that time would be a realy good idea for me. I got mad at myself for not giving her my best, I started to think that everything would be better without me and I need to be where she was (or is). And to this day it doesn't change much..
@timmywang93 Hi Timmy, I am sorry to hear of your loss. Don't blame yourself for your focus in your youth. When we are young our eyes look past what is familliar to what is new and exciting. Just part of being human.
As much as you miss her, you still have a lot of your own life to live. It is always hard to miss our loved ones, but we best honour them by being happy and successful in our own ways.

I would like to appologise to alle for having to cut out of here early yesterday. I really need to get the water running in my new home. Although a hot shower still eludes me, we now have the cold water on, basic needs met. A hot shower still eludes me though, ye always run out of those important and needed parts after everyone is closed lol.
I would like to thank my Team Mates/Colleagues @agreeablekite4304 @DaisyLion and @Hope3729 for helping me with replies to our most precious friends. Also Thank You @Rain45 for the edit, sorry I was rushed and a mite confussed in the mix.

This vacation was supposed to be for my husbands Birthday which is the 25th. Just want to share some of the details of this trip. We had been planning this for a while. However, we had heard that the company may have been a fraud, according to the BBB. So we were not sure of what to expect.
Anyway, we had to get my husbands birth certificate for to use on the cruise and I had mine. We started off by driving my car to the Airport. Which my husband got lost driving to the airport so when we arrived we were pushed up for time to get to our plane. We boarded the plane and went to Orlando. After arriving there my husband discovered he had left his birth certificate at home. Well without that he could not board the Cruise Ship. No express services were available and it had to be his original birth certificate. We picked up a rental car at the airport. We had to send him back to meet a family member that came and got his birth certificate from the house and would meet him halfway to Florida. Only 10 minutes of reaching his destination he hits a Police car in the Rental car. They gave him a warning and let him go. That trip cost him $200.00 to pay the person who brought it.
He gets back and we Board the Grand Celebration Cruise line where they issued us a card that we were to keep on us at all times. As proof, we were US citizens and also to keep up with our expenses. Husband loses his card, We can not get off the ship without that card. I am freaking out by this time. We were to disembark that next morning. Wondering if I was going to have to leave him there. Went to get our last bill before we got off the ship, Only to find that the debit card only had $85.00 on it and our bill was $546.00. You all know I was Pissed off at my husband by this information. So I paid the bill cussing under my breath. They had to make him a new card but someone had found his card and charged $300.00 for some tours to his card. Then we spent an hour or two trying to get that refunded. We got off the ship at 11 am but our rooms in the Bahamas would not be ready until 3:00 pm. We stood in the Customs line for about one hour. Nowhere to go because we were on a secluded part of the island. Once we got our rooms things got better for a bit.
My luggage got torn up and we had to go get me some new luggage. Then had to take out 10 pounds to get my baggage cleared. One baggage is still lost. Told us we could not check the baggage only online. I did not know how to do that, another long drawn out process.
I am not a drinker but they were giving away free Bahama Mamas and I took one. I got so tipsy and high which was a first time ever. They lied about the alcohol content. My head spinning and I was just a mess for about 2 hours. I'll never do that again. All in all, we had an adventure. I can laugh about now that I am home. We will never forget this trip LOL
@scarletPear1945. Wow, so glad things came together. I hope you managed to enjoy stuff to amongst the chaos. Glad you made it back safe.
