Traumatic Experiences Community Daily Check-In Sunday July 15th 2018

It was very cool out this morning when I went out to sing my prayers. Dark and still as I siently moved through na wood I came to my dog Ulfr an decided to take him with me. We moved deeper into the wood and found a comfortable spot. After settling in I began to sing my prayers. Ulfr sat patiently by my side, but after a few whiles he got bored I guess an started to poke around. Can't blame him, an hour and a half of some crazy girl singing and shouting strange things to the sky an trees lol. After a few minutes more Ulfr had found something to do, he began to hunt moles under the ground. He started to jump about barking at the ground and digging. He was making such noise it broke my silence, dirt flying at me probably helped. I was getting a mite frustrated but I carried on with my prayers. Ulfr carried on with his playing, and it was distracting as alle phoohey. I had to stop an sort him out, then begin again. Yep didn't take long, about long enough for me to calm and get back into my flow and he began barking and jumping about at my feet again. And again I had to stop what I was doing and sort him again. Calming myself again, I continued. As I worked through my prayers and rites it wasn't long before he got itchy and had to play again. He was a terrible distraction, and I really was getting angry at this point. I stopped what I was doing, and I broke alle peace and harmony an yelled at him. I got alle worked up and broke alle my focus an found myself standing there yelling at my dog. Ulfr sat there looking at me, clearly not understanding why I was angry (an not really caring m sure too). I was furious at this point, an began to think with a Vikingr mindset. "How dare you disturb an Utisetta midst her prayers! Foolish Dog, this is a death sentance!". An as I said this to him, Ulfr stook up and put hin front paws on my shoulders. Ulfr is a big boy, he stands as tall as I do. We stared hard at each other a moment as if neither knew to growl or smile. Locked in this aggressive silence, both unsure but standing ready. Then I broke out laughing (he relaxed and went goofy). Here was I alle worked up about being disturbed, acting as if my dog should know better and be respectful and quiet. For a few he was an did really good too. He is but a dog after alle though and can't help himself. I had a great laugh at this, Thanked The Allfather for the lesson, and I finished my prayers now able to ignore him. "Forgive him for he is but a dog and knows no better of my intents and the works I do" was my final thought on it.
