Good morning everyone and hope everything is going well!

I enjoy writing a lot and with that, I have a quote for everyone!

"Today is just a blank page waiting to be filled"

I used to write a lot and this quote allowed me to view my life not as something in control of me all of the time but rather as a story. I have the power to take a pencil and write on the page. Of course, other things could always scratch stuff out with ink or write their own things but in the end, my day was a story I could write.

I invite you all to tell me how your day is going or what you will do to make your day even just a little bit better as you write the story of your day.heart

@TheHoneyDoll

A girl saw police cars like the sign she should report it. Couldn't sleep at night...but the day wasn't such bad except that... Was actually peaceful, went to a bank first and after shopping and when came back although raining gave straight dog food. That night she couldn't sleep well... Watched before bedtime serial and was on a computer. She read a bit book also... Woke up another day...it rained less but that's ok...she finds peace in rain, more important her own pet could go for walk. Friend, she sent a message doesn't feel well still not answering.Wonder what would happen if she reports even don't have evidence any of cruelty that happened... Today went well, at morning done some grounding...was a sunny day but still for a jacket, she finished that good book that she read. But she does worry it will happen again and blames herself for the silence of what meant to be reported. She doesn't want the person to be punished or even caught by the law, what she wants is justice and scared would happen again.Although what done was horrible and cruel still she blames herself and feels guilty because it wasn't so much like... the shame of herself saying to herself nonsense "I can't be dirty if I'm wrong".

You sound like a very strong person who went through a lot. I understand how hard this must be to go through and think about but just know that it wasn't your fault, your feelings are valid, and you're a survivor. You're cared about and loved and I hope things look up for you soon. You deserve only the best after all you have survived heart

Hang in there. We care about you!

@TheHoneyDoll Hi!!!

Thanks for your encouragement. I have not thought about my life in this way. That, every day is a blank page, where I can write my own stuff. This is a very empowering idea, no doubt. My childhood trauma and dysfunctional family structure results in a highly codependent life. Thats why thinking every new day as a blank page, is a refreshing idea.

Good morning! Today is going to be a good day! (If I set the intention Ill make it happen right ? 😉) My sleep has been getting better finally with an adequate med after multiple different trials. This is a huge accomplishment as nightmares have been a significant issue for me for at least 17? Years! This makes me feel hopeful that other things will improve as well as a lot has been feeling overwhelming lately. Over the last year and with the help of my Psychologist, Ive been learning to connect with my feelings more to lessen the dissociation I experience. This is exhausting. I feel like with better sleep, Ill be stronger and more able to fight this tiger.

Ahh so good! heart I'm cheering you on! Nightmares can be so draining and upsetting even for just one night so I understand how amazing it must be that they're slowly going away. I also like your idea of intention making your day better ^^ You can do this! Keep your chin up and have an amazing rest of your day! You're an amazing fighter smiley

@TheHoneyDoll Thank you! And yes nightmares are awful. For now, Ill take the meds and one day hopefully I wont need them anymore. At least theyll make me stronger during the day to mentally process things as we all know everything is more overwhelming when were tired.

So today is a new day 😊

Thanks for the great idea :-) How to make my day better: I might listen to some touching music so some accumulated emotions might dissolve into tears, it's usually helpful, cathartic and therapeutic for me.

@EmOnTheGo

I'm glad you have a coping strategy for yourself! It's always healthy to cry now and then or else our emotion bottle will crack and eventually overflow or fall apart :) Keep going! You're doing an amazing job and have an amazing rest of your day!

@EmOnTheGo yes! I used to be so scared of crying. It seemed too powerful and like if it started it would never stop so I wouldnt allow myself to do it. Im slowly learning to embrace it and that it is ok. It doesnt last forever and it is almost cleansing by releasing some of that bottled up emotion Ive hidden for so many years. Definitely cathartic. Plus, a super cold splash of water after a good cry almost feels refreshing in a way.

@Zombii hi 😞 Im sorry to hear youre panicking a bunch. Panic attacks are awful. I was also overwhelmed with a lot of them last week which prompted my online searching for supports and how I first joined on here. My go tos are deep breathing and concrete grounding skills which bring me down pretty quickly. Id be happy to share if youre interested?

@Zombii I guessed you probably would! But thought Id offer in case you didnt 😉 I always make sure to coach other people when breathing to breathe into their belly and for grounding Ive found focussing on concrete things I can sense: touch, hear, taste, smell, see etc. But really digging into them is helpful. Like if I can feel my feet on the floor , thinking about the weight of my foot , pushing it down more, sensing how I can feel the ball of my foot and the heel and all the toes etc.
