Traumatic Experiences Community Daily CheckIn - Wednesday 19th April 2017
Gooooooood Eveniiiiiiiing y'all!!!! Today has been a great day including a lovely walk on a beach with my ball obsessed dog by my side :)
How about y'all? I hope today turns out to be a good day for you all, and a better one than perhaps some of you had yesterday. What are you plans for the rest of the week? Have there been any major achievements so far this week? Any plans to meet up with friends, attending some event, playing some sport?? I hope you have a great day today for you deserve that.
Healing from trauma, is tough work and so this space is for you to share whats happening in your world, how your healing process is doing, whats happening in your life, whether good, bad or inbetween. What positives have been happening for you lately, what achievements do you feel you have attained recently?
Please check in and let us know how you are doing. :)

Well actually I made a huge achievement I have let myself realise that nothing that happened in my past is my fault and that it was out of my control! It was the last step that I needed to do and I now truly believe it :)
@TheAsh WoooooHoooo, way to go Ash!!!!! So how did you get to that point? It can take a lot for people to finally be able to let go of any guilt, blame, shame they may feel about past events but really pleased to hear for you, you have managed to make that step. You should be proud of yourself for having done that. Well done you
@dancingRainbow45 lots of affirmations, and journaling and finally it clicked and now I can say I am not what happened in my past and it is not my fault
@TheAsh So pleased for you Ash and peoples past is exactly that, it does not define who you are. Yes it impacts, but those impacts can be worked with and overcome and sometimes peoples pasts however horrid, can lead them to be caring, sensitive and understanding Survivors, who in turn are able to support others because they can appreciate the struggles people face and know too, that those pains can be dealt with, where you can start living life feeling free and safe. No it was not your fault.
