Traumatic Experiences Community Daily Check-in August 19th 2019
Hello everyone,
It's Monday once again. The end of August is almost near and I cannot say I've done anything meaningful the past couple of months. " Time flies when you're happy"- I don't find this to be true.
How does time work for you? When does it go fast and when does it feel forever idled?
Hope you're having a decent Monday and thank you for checkin-in.
@Jackie
I've been pretty sluggish. I slept until 6:30p.m. Sunday because of depression. I'm just not wanting to do anything lately. My therapist is a bit concerned, but there's not much that can be done aside from go about the daily activities and wait for the depression to pass.
@Jackie
It feels like I haven't done anything meaningful in quite some time. Time seems to go slower when I have nothing to do. I have been struggling lately. I have some things I have been avoiding and I can't any longer.
@Jackie Time goes fast when youre having fun with the people you love. Time moves slow when you are at a place or at a point of your life when youre unhappy in a place or with a situation

I think for me, when I am happy I tend to take my my observing and cherishing every tiny details. Time goes by slower when I am cherishing the moment. When time goes to lag, that's when I am having hard time observing and making meaning of anything.
Thank you for checking in and have a good day!
How does time work for you? Its torture.
When does it go fast and when does it feel forever idled? It goes fast when I write or when I'm with my guy, but so slow when I have to wait to hear from my guy.

Hi Rekekah, have you experienced time slowing when you're intimate with your partner? I always felt like my biological time went alot quicker than the actual time when I am close to my partner.
@Jackie it goes faster when he and I are together but so slow when we are not.
I think time goes very fast when you're happy! When I was in my unsafe environment, time crawled... I thought I would never escape... Now, I've been in my new house for almost a year! I've got a new job, a boyfriend, I'm making friends, bonding with my family... Everything is whizzing by, in a happy way!
