@CaringBrit
I think I am better at physical self care, getting a good diet but I've fallen slack on exercise. My sleep routine is pretty regular. I am working a flexible independent contractor job that allows for my self care needs, luckily. My spiritual self care involves meditation, journalling, and praying. I need to get better at space and social self care. Emotional self care will be a struggle for the rest of my life, I think.
@plumRaspberries7829
thats perfectly ok if you feel better at one or more over others great job with getting the good diet and its ok if youve slacked a bit on excercise im sure youll pick it up again when able nice self care methods you do there too do you daily journal then everyday do you do it with prompts or just mention thoughts etc wht type of journal
@CaringBrit
I do it with prompts but I haven't been doing it every day lately. I was given some new exercises to practice and I was trying that but I think I need both.
@CaringBrit just going to sit here with yous for a few moments. Trying not to hide and thought at least if I checked in it
@crimsonLime6525 thats perfectly ok lime hope your ok today hugs if youd like one
@CaringBrit save the hugs for someone who deserves them
I feel annoyed today. My parents are acting so irrationally, stocking up 6 cases of 32 bottles of water. I counted. We are 3 people and 2 cats. Nothing wrong with our tap water. We have cups and refillable bottles. They already don't care about the environment and now they're being selfish in a time where everyone needs more supplies than normal in case of an emergency. I told them to return some to the store. Nothing. Not even to the homeless. So ashamed that these are my parents. I don't care what their upbringing was like that causes them to hoard food and water. Other people need things too. It's not like they're trying to stay safe, my mother still leaves for work and she makes her own schedule so she can choose to stay home. They're just selfish in the face of potential crisis. Be prepared, yes, but "Every man for himself" shouldn't be the mentality right now.
On a different note, I'm not even sure what I want to do for self care. I have been watching movies all day but they've been background noise. I have felt empty almost all day. Had some heightened anxiety for a moment but it turned out I was reacting too soon. Yeah feel empty now. Taking care of myself in many ways has been a chore. Think tomorrow I'm just gonna watch something, ruminate, and sleep all day and that's it. No interest in anything else.
