In my fort I would bring lots of pillows, a blanket, a kettle, a doll, some chocolate, and books. I would do things that help me to connect to myself, as yoga, or to relax, as reading and drinking tea. I think I would feel safe and protected from the world.
@admaiorasemper
aww all those soun amazing i love chocolate what sort of chocolate would you bring , hat type of tea too hope you are doing well
Aaaaaah! I love this thread! 😄 I'm a happy child! When I was a kid I put the blankets in my bed so that they would make a tent, or a cave, because I felt safe in there.
In my fort I would put a bed with curtains, a window near the bed, a stone floor and a big table in the dining room with chairs all made of wood and a big kitchen to cook a lot of cakes, and I'd have a huge library with books to read and some will have stories in them, some others will teach me things on herbs and the universe, the planets, or animals. I would have a big garden with trees and nature, and a fountain, and animals and there would be a big wall to protect us. And dresses. Like princess ones, but less pink. (little one expressed herself)
I'd add a forge to work with steel to craft weapons and a training area. Little one is going "yaaay!" so I don't know why she didn't write it. Maybe she doesn't feel safe handling those things on her own. Crystals? Do we want crystals? Yes, they look awesome and magic. Oh, another one of my parts is annoyed because she'd really like the forge and weapon thing, but she doesn't think I'm capable and suitable for that and that I'll never end up doing anything that she wants, so I might as well shut the f* up. Another part would suit herself in the natural part of the garden. Then we might want a big mirror for Vera, maybe a portal to another dimension where the fort is all creepy and dark. We may also need a tower with a big nest, but I don't feel like explaining why. Oh my. I forgot one of my parts. Is there anything for him? Is there anything he likes, by the way? I don't know him very much. He tends to be resentful, irritable, very anxious, negative and never satisfied with anything. Well I'd give him a room of his own where he can put and do what he wants and be alone if he needs to, because he can become really stressed around people. But he likes little one, he's protective of her and sometimes he comes forth to speak for her when she's scared and won't talk. So maybe I'd give him some toys so that he can invite little one to play
@GhostlyLilian
Love your answer and how you listened to your different parts
@GhostlyLilian
glad you love this thread and awww same
awww cute its good she expressed herself thats alot bu sounds amazing
awww well if your parts feel comfortable talking here they can bert mch say what they each like i know communication may seem difficult with them but all are very valid they are now afterall all have own feelings views etc all valid its lovely to see they are excited and that you Lilian mentioned something each would love
@CaringBrit
Thanks ^_^
Yes, I don't have did, I never switch, but I feel different parts. I didn't mean to involve my parts in this answer, but little one was very excited and came forth a lot all on her own. I think she felt safe because I was at home alone, behind a screen, and the topic is very close to her. I heard her taking super fast in the back of my head and felt dizzy. The others I just try to ask and see if they give me some kind of answer, be it a sentence or a feeling.
1. I'd bring candles or soft lights, laptop, a book, extra pillows, a fleece blanket, lots of water and perhaps some tea in a thermos, a light snack, my cats. Once I go into a fort, I don't plan on coming out for hours
2. I'd probably just watch movies and sit with my cats. Maybe play some Sims, listen to music, listen to a meditation.
3. I like getting to design them however I want. They can be big like their own room, or cozy like a tent for one. I can make them as bright or dark. It's my own little escape from the rest of the house which doesn't always feel safe to be in.
4. Locking my bedroom door and barricading it, sometimes laying under my covers completely (head under, too), being home alone, a cup of tea or warm water with lemon, having a non-judgmental & private space to vent feelings, being around positive people, positive meditations, taking a deep breath (have asthma along with anxiety and sometimes forget I'm holding my breath and then wonder why I'm not breathing). Today I want most of what I encounter to be positive. Can't shut every negative thing or person out, but I can ground myself after
@Lexloveslife love your answers from what youd bring to the fort to the activities i love sims 4 n movies are the best thankyou for sharing lex
@Lexloveslife
Candles and art supplies! That's what I forgot in my fort!
I feel you with breathing problems. I don't have organic issues though, I just go into "hide and make no noise" mode when I'm anxious and stop breathing without realizing. Or I would make very tiny and slow breaths and not get a proper supply of air maybe for hours before I notice. It's the first time I meet someone that actually understands this
Hey - How are you?
Forts are awesome! Forts here can get pretty intense lol
We need thick heavy blankets to block out light and sound. But fairy lights for inside. Teddies at the door * maybe they can borrow some swords from GhostlyLilian's forge* They're the guards of the gate - they ride dinosaurs. But there's a moat with alligators and pirrahnas - but they only eat bad guys and gum drops. It's hard for the bad guys to find it though because of the wizards that keep the invisibilty spells strong.
Inside there's a flashlight for scary stories and lots of pillows and bean bag chairs. A popcorn machine and a tv for Harry Potter movies. Books of all kinds and crayons. Legos - lots and lots of Lego's. A few board games. The floor is glass though and looks down in the ocean so you can see all the fish and stuff. But theres a place with a fire so we can make smores. But its a magic fire so we don't have to worry about it. Should probably have some matchbox cars too. And a race track and cheese puffs and room for dogs - but some gas masks because they fart. I know theres things I'm probably forgetting
Forts are awesome - it's nice to have a place for whatever - a safe place
Sometimes being alone and the dogs help alot
This is an awesome post Brit :) Alot of fun Thank you!
@mytwistedsoul
I like your fort! Can I come visit? I offer a basket of yeddy bear sized swords 🐻⚔️
@GhostlyLilian Of course you can visit :) Your fort is cool too with the force and big library. Learning about herbs and stuff is really good too. The teddies thank you for the armory supplies!
1. My fort would have a quilted floor, lots of plush toys and fiddle-toys, a projector and my iPad, and some fun arts & crafts supplies. Oh! And a snack bin. I'd have one tiny corner that would be the "bedroom" that's just a blanket door to seperate where I or anybody visiting would need some privacy. I'd hang up fairy lights and put in an air freshener. Haha.
2. I would play on my iPad/draw on my iPad, read books, watch shows, and just unwind. I think everyone needs a cozy comfy fun space to unwind every once in a while.
3. I like the creativity and whimsy a fort brings. When I used to be really stressed out in college, I'd build a fort. I'd be doing adult things, like taxes and homework, but I'd feel so much better about them because I'd be living my best life in a happy little fort.
4. Plushies, good friends, and gentle music make me feel safe.

Awww so soothing ❤️
