Hello everyone and happy or not Monday!

Can you guys believe it's already August? I can only imagine how far we all have come in the past 8 months of this year.

My 2019 year resolution was to make better days for myself and my family. I am not even aware what I meant by that nor do I think I have started feeling better about anything. Huge life stressor happened in my life and I never felt so much hate and resentment. To sum it up, I am having one of the most difficult time of my life. If there is a brighter side, I feel indestructible. I feel every fiber of my body deteriorating but not enough to destroy me completely. I am still here in the mixture of sadness and some "Alright, I am still here" days.

What was your 2019 resolution? Has it happened yet?

I know it's quite sometimes but what's your 2020 resolution? Mine is to continue to be compassionate in hopes that my feeling of resentment to decrease.

Thank you for being best part of my day and checking in. I hope everyone has chance to smile today.

I just wanted my 2019 to be better than 2018 and so far it has been. It hasnt been perfect, but its been better. In 2018 I was in the hospital for mental health at least once every single month. Right now I am almost 3 months with no hospital, though I have had some close calls lately. In 2020 I want to make movement forward in my life towards my long term goals.

My 2019 resolution was to be healthier. I wanted to use 7cups as much as possible, stop self-destructive habits, keep up my positivity and, ultimately, make better choices. I can barely believe it, but I've actually done it. I think it's my first New Year's Resolution I ever kept. I've gotten more and more consistent with my 7cups all year, and I've completely turned around certain aspects of myself. I'm still working at it, but I'm getting there. Thank you for making this a topic today, because I think I really needed to think about it. I've been beating myself up for having some symptoms show of my C-PTSD around my new boyfriend, but I've really come a long way. It's not so bad to have a hard time every now and again. Everything is okay. I'm okay.

My 2020 resolution is to take another step towards my dream career, find a new therapist, and get physically in shape. I'm really excited, and I can't wait.

Your post made me smile. I am glad you have made so much progress. For many of us one set back sometimes sets us back to feeling like a failure. I admire you for being able to see how far you have come despite some flashbacks of your past trauma. It shows that you understand the true meaning of recovery. You're an amazing member of our community and I enjoy seeing you around. Thank you for being such positive energy. You sure made my day little bit better. wink
