it,s the weekend!!!! Time for rest and time for fun!!! I wish lol What plans do you have this weekend? What fun things will you be getting up to, would love to hear?

Healing from traumatic experiences is hard work, and the road to recovery can be a bumpy one but hang in there, because that journey is well worth being on when you get to a better place where your experiences, though will never go away, wont hurt you or cause you the level of distress that they may do currently. Your journey is one of self discovery and personal self growth, where you can rediscover who you are, and grow into that strong survivor that you are. Sometimes you may even question why you are bothering, is it worth it. YES, it is! Because your worth it. Its important to always look after yourself and your needs and to take time out for you and practise some self care when needed. How have you been managing to show a little TLC to yourselves recently? This space is yours, to share whats happening in your world, to say Hi, to let us know if you need some extra support, to share the good days, bad days and inbetween days. This is a safe and supportive daily checkin space for our members. Remember to be kind to yourselves, and take some time out for you if needed.

I am barely hanging in when I am alone and have too much time to be in my mind, I cry and have a hard time getting control . I go back and forth between being ok to feeling like my life is in a sink hole.

@jr50 I saw your post under the forum discussion section which is for the forum discussions so I am replying here if thats okay with you. You are not nothing and I am so sorry that you are being treated how you describe. How long has this been going on for? Just because someone ignores you or talks to others doesnt mean your nothing. It really says more about the other persons behaviour than about you as a person. I know this brings no comfort when you are being put through this. He may give you an apology but equally he may not. I hear your feeling ignored and alone and whilst it may bring you comfort to know there are others here who can appreciate your struggles, we equally are not in your shoes and its true the saying of you can be surrounded by people and yet feel so alone. Its the situation which seems to making you very low and unhappy which is adding to the isolation that your experiencing. How long have you been with your partner? Has this been going on for some time? is it likely to change do you feel? What do you feel you need to make things different for you? What other support do you have around you and does anyone outside cups know what your going through?

@dancingRainbow45. Been going on for about 3 months, we have been married 12 yrs. And I have no support outside of 7 cups, I talked to the pastor of my church because, I was going through similar things about 1-2 yrs ago, but my children are now a few years older and understand what he does and it is affecting them as well, my pastor didn't have any help ,he pretty much downplayed everything I said and I don't think he took me seriously, because he has only seen my husband at church where he puts up a front and is well liked, so I don't talk to anyone outside of 7 cups about this, because I feel worse when I am treated with disrespect and fear no one would even regard my feelings as serious. I am pretty much ready to get myself in a place to take my kids and be prepared to go and tell him when he gets help , and treats us with respect, I will be back, because I loved him very much at one time, I still do but I am becoming numb from all negative impact his words and behavior has had on me, I don't know if I am being reasonable or not?

@jr50 I think from what you have written in your post, its clear your very unhappy and you speak so well of the impact that this is now having on you, especially where you mention being numb to his actions and behaviour. Thats got to be a pretty bad place to feel in and I dont think your being unreasonable at all. I think you have to think about your feelings and that of your childrens. It would be wrong of anyone to say do this or do that, because we are not in your shoes, but you do deserve to live a life without fear, without feeling disrespected as a person, a mother and a partner. I hear you say you love your partner and thats understandable. Its often a common thing that even in the light of all the wrongs that may be going on, people still do love a partner who perhaps is not treating them well. Would you say you love the person he was more than the person he has become now? Realistically do you feel by perhaps getting space and leaving for a while that this will enable things to change for the better between you? Im sorry you felt your issues were not take seriously before when you tried to get support and were pushed aside so easily. If you would like to talk to anyone about this situation, someone who works with these kinds of issues,. let us know and we can give you some resources that you may find useful. You are important jr and your happiness matters :)

@dancingRainbow45. Thank you so much, the reason I still have hope is because of 7 cups. Yes I believe I do love more the man who I fell in love with almost 14 yrs ago, before I found this site I would be in depression for many months at a time, but support and understanding from the many people like you, is the reason I have a lot more better days, still have bad ones ,but not alone.
