Happy Satruday to you! I am so happy to see you again!
How are you feeling today? :)
I don't know about you but I am still kind of shocked that I have already made it through an other week just like this and so did you and you are doing a really good job, I am really proud of you :)
How was this week for you? Do you have anything on your mind you would like to share about it?
Soo...last some weeks I think I have been picking some heavier and more serious topics so I though I will try to keep it a bit light-hearted for this week :)
There is something I just realized I am not really sure how to do properly and I want to learn from the experts here, from you. How to build the world's most amazing pillow fort?

Soo...I do not even remember when was the last time I have last built a pillow fort but it really sounds like a nice place to be and just hide, the question is, how should our pillow fort look like and what should we have there.
What do you think is the most important thing in a pillow fort for you? What is one thing you would bring with yourself to a pillow fort? :)
I mean, I guess I have lucked out with that picture above, because I just looove fairy lights - they are like my favourite thing about Christmas as well :P - and I know if something I would take my teddy bear but I want to hear from you as well about what would make a pillow fort safe and just the most amazing thing for you.
Of course, as usually all questions are just optional so feel free to answer as much or as little as you want or just share whatever on your mind! :)

Of ir you would like to just sit here with us it would be really awesome to just have you here with us as well or you can maybe join us and sit in our pillow fort we will try to build.

Also, a shout-out to @melliotm for always making sure that the right taglist is being used and nobody is left out, thank you very much for it, you are really amazing!
@redmark needs to have lots of soft fluffy blankets you can just wrap around yourself and hide in. I would bring my stuffed bunny
Hey there @crimsonLime6525 *offering safe hugs*
It is always so nice to hear from you here!
Definitely, fluffy blankets! I mean, now that you mention it anyways it just sounds really obvious and just such an amazing thing to have in our pillow fort, thank you very much! :)
Also, that bunny sounds really adorable. I know I was looking at bunny pushies for a while because I just saw one that had just these big totally cute and soft and fluffy ears....buuut, I guess my anxiety won and ended up not buying it but with Christmas getting closer maybe I will give it an other try :P
Anyhow, thank you very much for sharing with us!
@crimsonLime6525 heyyy lime
@redmark lol i seem to have set the way for light check ins mine were heavy too and oo pillow forts are awesome lots of pillows blankets some netflix on a laptop snacks and my teddy

Hey there @CaringBrit *offering safe hugs*
It is always so awesome to have you around here with us!
Well, we cannot always be serious I think. :)
Netflix and a laptop definitely sounds like an amazing idea to have in a pillow fort. I mean, I do not know if it counts but I on my "lazy days" I already just stay in bed sometimes with my pillow, blanked, and, of course, teddy bear and watch things on Netflix and I do enjoy those days a lot. :P
Also, I am glad to hear that you do like fairy lights as well. I mean, for quite while now I was thinking of maybe setting up some of them on the walls of my room to have them all year buut...never really got to doing it yet but who knows, maybe I will decorate things with that in mind fot his Christmas. :)
Stay awesome!
@redmark true point we cant always be serious very true and aww thanks love being here

We are really glad to have you here with us!
I am glad to hear that you like this thread and that my words may have helped you in a way! :)
Yep, winter is right around the corner so one more reason to just go and hide in pillow forts, isn't it? :P - not that you can really ever go wrong with a pillow fort :)
Stay strong and awesome!
@redmark
*accepts hugs*
I have good news I want to share with the trauma fam,
I got into college!!!!
I'm so relieved. It's only 1 of the schools I applied to so far and not my top choice but at least I know I got in somewhere already!!
There is a way out, from school and this house!
Phew I can relax just a bit
Forts should have your doggo and all your favorite blankets and a flashlight and really good books and your best friend and a lot of snacks and calming music.
Hey there @amiableCar7803 *offering safe hugs*
It so nice to see you around here and hear from you!
Dogs are awesome and it just sounds soo awesome to just hide away from the word with your dog and/or a friend and a good book and some music and snacks, I could totally imagine myself doing that! :)
I do not have a dog tho. I mean, I am working far away from home so I would not have that much time to spend with it and I would feel it would be a bit unfair with the dog but dogs sure sound like an amazing company and friend to have and I am glad to hear that you do have such an amazing friend on your side. :)
Stay strong and awesome!
@amiableCar7803 I agree! What are some of your favorite snacks?
I
Hey there @intuitiveClementine4701 *offering safe hugs*
Welcome here! We are really gald to have you around here with us and I hope you will find this place helpful for you.
I mean, I am really proud of you as I can imagine that it had to be really hard to come here and open up like that and I will make sure to check it out once I can as I am really looking forward to get to know the amazing person you are! :)
We have a lot of pillow forts here to just hide from the world and you are always welcome to join in. :)
Stay strong and awesome!
@redmark
Pillow forts are on of my favorite places when I am afraid and hurting. My pillow forts have lots of pillow, warm blankets, my weighted blanket (which is very comforting) and my bear. I bring a lamp, coffee or tea, a book and my computer or tablet. My phone isn't allowed in the pillow fort, I find the noises it makes disturbing and makes me anxious. I'm going to hide in pillow fort today.
I'm not sure how I'm doing today. The last few days I've been impulsive. I've given in to self harm and other addicitions. I'm trying to remember that taking steps backwards don't make me a failure.
How are you doing Red?
Hey there @practicalIdeal2007 *offering safe hugs*
It is always so nice to see you around here!
Oww, pillow forts are sure an amazing way to just hide away from the world and even from the anxieties and the pain a bit. I am really glad to hear that it is helping you like that and I think it sounds really nice to just hide away with your teddy bear reading a good book or just using your tablet or computer there. I can totally get behind of wanting to leave your phone outside tho, it can be truly stressful with all those messages and notifications pop up on it and I think it is a really good decision leaving it outside of a safe-place like a pillow fort :)
You are definitely not a failure. I mean, I am sorry to hear that you are having such a hard time lately and I know that relapse can be hard but it is also part of the recovery. You know if anything I am just so proud of you for still being here, reaching out to us and really just trying your best no matter what, you are really, really strong! :)
If there is anything we may be able to help you with we are always here for you and together we can definitely get through this. I do believe in it anyways and I do believe in you.
Stay strong and awesome!
@redmark
I can't do it anymore. I can't face it or deal with it. It's all too much.
@practicalIdeal2007 I think we are in a very similar place emotionally. I understand how hard these days are where everything is just so overwhelming, no sign of light in the darkness. I can sit with you for a while if that
@crimsonLime6525
Thank you for sitting with me Lime. I feel so lost today.
@practicalIdeal2007 I totally get the lost feeling. I will be sitting with you as long as you need me to, I have all the time in the world to be here with you ❤️
@crimsonLime6525
Thank you Lime. I'm not in a much better place today. I won't skip work again today though, because too much idle time yesterday was not a good thing.
@practicalIdeal2007 it does help to keep busy, stops the mind from thinking too much.
Best way to build a blanket fort is use lighter blankets or sheets for top, in for with couch cushions or pillows used sleeping bags on floor and opening must face the tv
Hey there @Rebekahwriter13 *offering safe hugs*
We are really happy to have you here with us!
Oh, yep, of course it has to have structurally stable as well and I think it is a really nice way of making sure of that and making it face at the television sounds like an amazing idea. :)
Stay awesome and strong!
I would like the pillow fort be tall so that I dont bump my head on it because Im pretty tall.
I think I would bring a stuffed animal with me & maybe a snack as I get hungry a lot.
How am I? Well, there were some good parts to the day. But I just spent the last hour & a half crying. My heart feels broken sometimes. I guess at least I can feel it sometimes now. But it hurts. So much pain inside, so little ability to be understood by others, including close friends who hurt me greatly even though they dont mean to. Sometimes I honestly feel like no one wil ever want or need me if Im the real honest genuine me. This is a lie that was taught to me when I was young. Recent events though seem to support that lie. Logically it doesnt make sense & I dont really think its true, but at the same time I fear thatitis true. If I open up & let anyone see the real me, all of me, they wont want me anymore or stick by me. I can tell myself thats not true over & over again but it still hurts like crazy. I feel all alone. And sometimes like its better for everyone else if I just try to handle my problems on my own & dont share how I am feeling. Sorry for so many words. I know thats not the answer, i need help & support but it hurts so much sometimes & my heart is broken. I feel alone. Sorry.
Hey there @pioneeringBanana1598 *offering safe hugs*
We are so glad to have you here with us!
Of course, we have to make sure that the pillow fort is comfortable for everyone, that's just natural! :)
I am glad to hear that I am not the only one who would just love to hide away in a pillow fort with a teddy bear and snacks sound pretty nice as well so you do not have to come out to grab them later ^-^
Trauma and such tough feelings can be truly isolating. I think the thing with it is that we, as humans, are very complex mentally and emotionally and even if you describe your feelings well others will still probably misunderstand it but not necessarily because they do not care. They probably do but these things can be really hard to grasp at times and, as I have noticed, people really misunderstand that you do not except or really want anyone to just fix you but really just someone to be there with you and they start to dot he worng thing even if it may be driven by good intentions.
You know maybe it would worth to give it some time, maybe pick one or two people close to you, someone you feel comfortable sharing with. Not much, just little bits at a time. You can maybe even try to journal and you can show that later on as well. I mean, I know it is hard and probably unfair, but I have found that sometimes people need a lot of time to really understand this and be able to help or just properly be there for you but it is not impossible.
Pain is just such a strong and raw emotion and it can be the hardest thing to deal and help with but, I mean, try to give yourself and your friends a little bit of time and try to open up slowly. Every once in a while share your feelings and if you ever feel like it feel free to give some feedback to them about the way they have reacted, if it was good or bad or anything.
Anyways, I do believe that there are people out there caring. I was not really sure about it either but there actually are and I believe in that you can find someone like that and also, and I know this is not the same, we are here for you as well anytime if there is anything we may be able to help you with or you would just like to vent like this.
- also, you should never be sorry for sharing your feelings with us, I am really glad you did. :)
Stay strong and awesome!
