Good morning to you all!

And to begin with, a quote for that loveable bear, Winnie the Pooh who says : "Some people care too much. I think it's called love."

And to follow, a brief reflection on how those who care and love us can best support us, and take care of themselves too. They can be very unsure and equally so can we. What would we ask them for? What if they want to "fix'it for us? What if it all becomes too much for them? Wondering if it can be summarized in one word... Empathy.... "I feel with you." Empathy moves us to share another's pain and to see the world through their eyes. Empathy allows us to trust. Empathy helps us to understand how or why someone is reacting to a situation as they are.It connects, it is the link between self and others. It cares, and if we are valued and cared for, we learn to feel good about ourselves.Empathy is contagious! And in being understood, we can also understand. It may not be the easiest to be around us at times... so some space may be a good thing. Empathy can make such a difference, and this is apparent each day here in our wonderful community.

How is your day going? Can you remember the last time someone showed you emopathy? How did you feel? Or pop in to say hi! Love to hear from you. This is your space and a safe place, x

How is your day going? Can you remember the last time someone showed you empathy? How did you feel?

My day is long gone. I rallied in the evening and got some things done which is more than I normally do.

The most recent time someone showed empathy for me was early in the week. To say I was anxious is putting it mildly. My ears wouldnt stop ringing, sounds in my brain, swore people were downstairs so I couldnt make a sound (illogical) and I was lit and didnt sleep much for about 2 solid days maybe 3. Heart racing, mind racing. Paranoid. So yeah, my husband did inform me there was no one downstairs. But maybe they just were and they left? Anyway so I was on the edge and someone from 7 cups talked me down and even pushed me to do things that would help me get out of it.

I found out yesterday that my mother had also been praying for me. Shes become very big on prayer.

I fear going outside and have absurd rules I must use to feel any semblance of self-acceptance in my own skin. Everywhere. Always. I go to work but its about the only place I go and its only twice a week. Im so ashamed to be around people and it makes me feel worse. Makes it hard to go outside.

I would love for someone to tell me if this sounds more like anxiety than trauma? Ive been thru trauma but never Lived in trauma til I was an adult. I was fortunate to have a healthy non-abusive upbringing.

I would just like to know am I mentally imbalanced (b*tsh** crazy) or is this anxiety or what?

So sorry to hear you've been having a difficult time of it. Nice for you to have some empathy and a mother who prays

.You ask an interesting question about anxiety and PTSD. There are overlaps between Generalized Anxiety Disorder and PTSD. Maybe google 'difference between Anxiety and PTSD' and have a look at this. Not suggesting you self-dagnose, more about exploring this a little for yourself. Would you be able to talk it over with your doctor? Would love you to have a better quality of life. Hug. x

@rozie

As a general rule I do not go to medical doctors. Very rarely and only if very sick with bronchitis etc.

As far as mental health doctors, Ive been to my share over the years. I dont ask for my diagnosis. I just let them prescribe me.

We have no insurance so we are private pay in both regards. I have no doctor or counselor any longer. We can no longer afford them. Had to stop seeing counselor for that reason. And my prescribing doctor is a P.A. Her signing off doctor had gone non-responsive last time I spoke with her office. He was not expected to make it. Transitioning or referring all patients. Looks like they are dissolving the practice.

I decided I did not want to be medicated shortly after filling last prescription anyway.

Also, I did not mean to offend anyone who is or has gone thru trauma. Im not sure Im traumatized or that I should because its been a long time and wasnt that bad. I do not feel I have ptsd. But I know that how I live is not normal. Wasnt always that good either but I dont know how to describe it or where I fit.

Long story but between my anxiety, depression, ptsd, and sleep apnea.

I was told until we figure out all out, I can't work. I feel even though I help with errands and cooking, I still feel I do not do enough. It makes me even more depressed. Damn cycle.

I am either very late or very early posting today. It was a difficult day, but talking to people who I happened to run into helped a great deal. A woman in the store even showed me a video that was just precious. A stranger who made my gloomy day so much brighter. I am having trouble sleeping with a couple of anniversary dates on the horizon. The volume is turned up at the moment on the things we struggle with the most. I am doing the best I can to work through a little bit more as I feel safe. So far, so good on the working through portion ~ have to work on the sleep. Thinking of you all too. Again, you keep me going through all of this.
