Traumatic Experiences Community Daily Check-in Tuesday 20th March 2018
Good morning lovely "trauma family"
Guess what.. were beginning with a quote from the stories of that loveable bear Winnine the Pooh
"Rivers know this. There is no hurry. We shalll get there some day"
Have you ever had a very well meaning person trying to "fix" you? And you may say or may want to say."Please don't try to fix me. Please understand that this is my journey and that I get sad sometimes.' There is a lot of sadness and grieving on this journey. The tears of self sorrowing and self compassion that we weren't appreciated and regarded as worthy and as easy to love. Angering is also part of grieving as we complain vigorously about current and/or past losses and injustices. If this is initially validated for us by others we are eventuallly able to put the blame where it belongs. And working through the waves of grief by mindfully staying present, and allowing the feelings to be there and pass through. We grieve for what we lost, for what we didn't have..and more. It takes time. There is no hurry."Please don't try to fix me!"
How is your day going? How can someone help you when you're feeling sad... does it help you to let them know this.? Pop in to say hi! Love to hear from you. This is your space and a safe place. x
