Gooooooood Moooooorning y'all!!!! I am awake with cafffeine to hand! It looks like today is going to be another sunny day here in the UK, as its very bright outside, a little too much right at this moment for my sore eyes until I wake up properly lol

How about y'all? I hope today turns out to be a good day for you all, and a better one than perhaps some of you had yesterday. What are you plans for the start of the week? Have you got to roll yourselves out of bed for work? See to the children? Walk the dog? Or just chill infront of day time telly until you also wake up! lol Any plans to meet up with friends, attending some event, playing some sport?? I hope you have a great day today for you deserve that.

Healing from trauma, is tough work and so this space is for you to share whats happening in your world, how your healing process is doing, whats happening in your life, whether good, bad or inbetween. What positives have been happening for you lately, what achievements do you feel you have attained recently?

Please check in and let us know how you are doing. :)

@BeeLeigh Okay its good you have been trying. Perhaps turn off any telly you have on, put away the phone if your using that, or computer, put some music on, or whatever helps you normally to sleep. Perhaps get up briefly, sit and have a glass of water, read a few pages of a boring book and then try again. Perhaps if you have a lot on your mind, try some relaxation exercise, or put on some relaxation technique, do that then turn things off and try again.

@dancingRainbow45

It's like this most nights, but it's worse if I don't have tv on in the background. I usually put Friends. Sometimes 30 Rock, but usually Friends. I ended up getting like 3hrs of sleep. Which, unfortunately, is also what it's like most nights 😕

@BeeLeigh

I have to tackle my sleep schedule as well. I was doing a bit better when I was working. Many nights I don't sleep until around 4am. It's not conducive for normal life and I've wondered how much just working on my sleep patterns (and upping my meds) might help.

Hang in there today! And hope you can work on a solution soon too!

@themainjane

I've never slept well, so I don't even know if managing to find a sleep schedule would help at all 😕

@themainjane Lack of sleep certainly can take its toll and like you guys I have had to work at mine too :) What do you get up to until 4am in the morning? What routine do you have before going to bed, and are there ways you could perhaps build in a routine to avoid staying up to all hours, perhaps online or watching TV when you body and mind need to rest and recouperate. Its important to consider trying to work on this because long term it can help to making you feel so much better and more able to tolerate or manage things that perhaps when your overtired, you struggle to

Tackling some things I've been avoiding for awhile today: counseling and grocery store.

I begged off counseling last week. Counselor finally gave me an at-home assignment and I brought home a dbt worksheet on chain analysis and missing links. It's foreign to me and I must confess much more difficult and elaborate than I thought (I wasn't sure what to expect). It's contributed to some of my recent low moods.

So... time to let her see how far I didn't get ha. At least I did some of it.

Going to give myself a break and not make the trip to the grocery store extensive. I wouldn't go except spouse is about to lose his mind if I don't and it doesn't make sense not to try since making the trip another day will cost more gas. (It's all an hour away).

@dancingRainbow45

Thank you. Counseling had a few difficult moments but overall not too bad.

I found out a few hours ago that one of my sorta friends and past co-workers od'd. Trying not to get triggered into drinking.
