How are you doing today? Remember everyone has their good and bad days especially when dealing with trauma issues so please be kind to yourselves and don't give yourselves a hard time for being human and having emotions and feelings that sometimes get a little tough to deal with. We are here for you and this space is yours to share how you are, what you are doing to look after yourselves, what self care techniques have you been trying out this past week, any achievements, any thoughtful moments you have had on your healing journey etc This space is for all of you to offer your support to one another, and even share a moment of laughter if you wish :)
Not bad! I actually like the Dickens book I was putting off reading for my Lit class, and I physically kinda feel like crap still but I stopped at the store on my way home yesterday and got more green tea and honey so I'm gonna have some Hot Toddies today since I don't work fridays, and then I should be just fine! 😉
@BeeLeigh That sounds like a great plan Bee :) I think when we are not feeling at our best or physically under the weather, its important we look after ourselves, whether that be wrap up under a warm duvet and watch day time telly or a good movie, or have some hot toddies :)

You know people here usually say "what's that?" if you tell them to have a hot toddy and they'll feel better?? I mean, I'm American born and raised, but my family is Irish so I practically grew up wth em lol. But it's weird to me that people don't know what it is!
@BeeLeigh haha yeah I find that even within the UK if you use certain northern words, southerners often dont know the meaning eg dont meither me is very much a northern word, even I have used it but many southerners dont know what it means - dont bother, dont go on! Hot toddies are definately something we use in the UK but more so again in the north, scotland etc

I told a coworker to have one and she was like "I'm just gonna have some tea and honey" and I was like I literally just told you to do that, just with a cap of Jameson in it too and she was like "ohhh, I didn't know what that was, but I don't drink" lol
