Its Saint Patricks Day :) For anyone interested in the origins, facts and history surrounding this day of celebration for the Irish Folk please see this link https://www.history.com/topics/st-patricks-day :) How's your day going? Anything exciting planned for today? Healing from traumatic experiences is hard work, and the road to recovery can be a bumpy one but hang in there, because that journey is well worth being on when you get to a better place where your experiences, though will never go away, wont hurt you or cause you the level of distress that they may do currently. Your journey is one of self discovery and personal self growth, where you can rediscover who you are, and grow into that strong survivor that you are. Sometimes you may even question why you are bothering, is it worth it. YES, it is! Because your worth it. Its important to always look after yourself and your needs and to take time out for you and practise some self care when needed. How have you been managing to show a little TLC to yourselves recently? This space is yours, to share whats happening in your world, to say Hi, to let us know if you need some extra support, to share the good days, bad days and inbetween days. This is a safe and supportive daily checkin space for our members. Remember to be kind to yourselves, and take some time out for you if needed.

I am at a turningpoint in my life, and I am so afraid of Making a wrong decision, and having anxiety and depression makes me feel unable to make a sensible decision. I guess I need to think on it more and give it more time before I make a life changing decision.

@dancingRainbow45 It is getting better! I'm coping with binge-eating but finding the Trauma threads are helping me know I'm not alone. :) I'm not going to lie...this evening has been rough. But I DID stand up for myself during a triggering time. My resilence is still going. <3

@snappywordfiend Well done on standing up for yourself! Thats a massive thing to be able to do especially when feeling triggered. Healing from trauma is tough, it is not a smooth straight forward journey and I think if survivors can know realistically that there will be good times and some really bad times and some not so bad times, then they dont build their hopes up to think its all going to be plain sailing. I think if people can plan ahead on how to cope when days are not so good, putting into place strategies to enable them to cope during those tough times it can help. You can feel very isolated as a survivor of trauma and I hope that all of you who use this space will realise your not alone and have a lot in common with one another and can begin to seek support from each other. You are amazingly strong people :)
