How I deal with trauma and everything else
Is this how you ask questions here? I forgot. Haven't been active in a long time, a few weeks to a few months I think. Anyway, I was going to post this in the trauma category but all I saw there was PTSD and DID.
I know that this isn't healthy and I stopped telling myself that it is. But is is normal that when I experience trauma or when my grandfather threatens to kill me ( almost did a few times) I isolate myself or shove everything I just experienced in the back of my mind and go on with life as if nothing happened?
@rainbowturtle I don't think it's about it necessarily being normal - It's the fact that we are all different people and are unique in our own ways. This mean we cope & deal with things differently compared to the next person. Dealing with trauma is extremely difficult and can lead to the kinds of behaviours you've described - it's hard coping with such hard and difficult things going on. We're all different and your feelings and actions are valid. Remember 7cups is here for you, okay? There are people out there who want to help you and be there for you. <3
I understand.
