Teens: the After-Effects of Domestic Violence in Families

I think there should be a thread for this. No one ever thinks about what happens to the kids emotionally after domestic violence taking place in their homes.

My brother was the one who abused me when I wa little ages 3-6, how do you deal with memories/dreams/thoughts of it happening again, I'm 13 naw and the memories are still there, if someone grabs my wrist I panic, how do you deal with this? I'm scard, the memories keep coming back, dreams, night terrors, how do you deal with it?
