Unhealthy relationships
Hello. One year ago I was in an abusive relationship, sexually and emotionally abusive. I stayed with him for a year until I decided it couldn

That boy you trust shouldn't be trusted. An abuser is always an abuser and they're usually aware of your weaknesses.
The way I dealt with mine well might sound cliche but is working on self esteem. I decided I do NOT deserve less than respect, and at the very first sign of abuse I stand up for myself and put a full stop to the situation.
You have to tell yourself you're not going through this again. You know the signs, in fact you just mentioned them here. So you're aware of it. But from what it seems (I might be wrong?) your self esteem is very low so you submit yourself to it.
There's a life out there please don't let anyone disrespect you.
@dynamicHemlock1736 Sounds so familiar
Has anyone ever been so trapped that there really isn't a way out? I look at every angle possible and it's completely impossible.
Been thinking alot lately how much I can relate to the spouces just snap. Justifiably so. It's amazing how someone can be so emotionless, Cold and have absolutely no compassion or empathy. Best way to explain my husband is monotone... 😕

*who just snap*
@Omastars10 l am in the same situation. We have been married for 10 years. Three years ago we split up because of his verbal, mental and physical abuse towards me. We were separated for full 1 year. He took spousal abuse classes, anger management classes etc... . After l year he came back as a new man. That new man lasted a year and now he is the same old shit as before. Not physically but mentally and verbally abusive. Now l am really stuck. I lost my job because of him. I am not financially strong to live him and be on my own. If l do l will probably loose everything. I dont know what to do. He promises to get help but it is just words.

I'm so sorry to hear that you or anyone for that matter is in the same situation. I hope that one day you can find the strength to leave. You deserve better! If you ever need a listening ear just look me up ok?
I don't believe people can change what's genetically in them. Either that or they are just plan lazy and stupid to see how lucky they are to have ppl like you and I in their lives. Idk, what the answer is. As for us.. We are strong! We are wise! We can overcome all obstacles handed to us! Don't ever forget that.. You are a human being and deserve only the best. Anything less isn't good enough.☺
@Omastars10 thank you for the kind words and yes you are right about people can not change what's genetically in them.
@purpleBlackberry5421 I am really sorry to hear your story, I hope that you find the strength to leave him. Just think about what interests you and work on that may be cooking or painting or anything else, you can look for work in this direction and once you are financially strong just leave him because such people are mentally sick and they are just compromising with your mental health too. You have to leave them because you don't deserve it, it is better to stay single than being in such a relationship. Try guided meditations on YouTube they have helped me a lot. Good luck 👍
@olivePlace7133 thank you, l will try. I will be going to counselling too. I do know what l need to do, l am aware that being single is better than spending the rest of your days in misery with someone that doesnt appreciate you. I just need a little courage a little push to make that big step. I believe l will
Stay strong and dont feel that you have to stay for finances. You have to sometimes loose everything to know your self worth and trust me you are worth everything. @purpleBlackberry5421
