I feel happy when I see that the effort I put into everything I do is entirely worth it, either because I make others happy or because I accomplish one of my goals!

I feel happy when I feel wanted and when I can solve tricky problems. I feel particularly happy when I am well enough to help others.

@juniperaugust20

You're enough! No need to prove you are to anyone else but you. Youre important all by yourself. :-)

I take care of plants and my dog, and listen to music

It's simple but soothing, and joyful.

I find myself pleasantly surprised when I realise Im happy. Sounds weird, but I often spend time outside my emotions not realising them, just observing my actions throughout the day. maybe I catch myself singing or humming. Or I get that warm feeling in my chest and I think ‘ oh that happened by itself so I take a moment just to appreciate it and rather than hold on to it I let it do its thing. Trying to stay happy all the time would be exhausting for anyone so I try to find peace instead, as happiness is a high that you will eventually come down from, and if your no feeling peace when you do, it can easily turn to sadness.

I realise its okay to be selfish sometimes, if it helps you personally to take a day for you, do it. Your not alive to make others lifes easier so remember to take care of yourself first. You cant save a sinking ship, if your taking on water as well.

I've been there and still have moments I catch myself happy. I was deeply sad for very long time, which became the norm. I dealt with it and didn't know anything else existed. You know videos of children seeing/hearing their mom for the first time? That's how I feel when I feel happiness. My once broken soul is now grateful of all things new.

I feel happy when I watch the birds at my feeders, and when I give some change to the stranger in front of me in the checkout line so that they did not have to choose which item had to be put back.

I feel happy when I am petting my dog, and playing with her.
